P.J Skidoo's is a rip off

So we went out for some dinner last nite to P.j Skidoos because their web site said that on Thursday nights they have 1/2 price raw bar. Wrong!!! how about false advertising. No raw bar. So we sat down. How about 8 peel and eat shrimp for $8.95 are you kidding me? Ordered a fillet and crab cake. I got what looked like a thin skimpy burger looking peace of meat along with an out of the can crab cake for $20 .Fucking pitiful. $83.00 for the 3 of us. We were disgusted and went to Arties for some real food. No wonder the place was empty. P.J Skidoos you blow. I will never go back

Because we all know that a restaurant named "P.J. Skidoos" must be at the pinnacle of fine dining.

I didn't realize people actually went to PJ Skidoos to EAT.

I always just assumed that was a place where people went to drink when they were too lazy to go into DC to go to a real bar or club.

That place was a dive-bar drinking spot when I was in High School and College, and even as far back as when one of my aunts had just graduated from college in the very early 80's (she took me there one night when I was 14 and told the bouncer she was my mother so he let us in. And, no, I didn't drink, I just hung out with her and her friends while they drank.)

It never occured to me that people would go there to have dinner.

I've been dining in the Norrthern Virginia area for over twenty years and have found P.J. Skidoo's restraunt to be one of the best in consistant high quality, relatively low priced and a very friendly atmosphere. The bar area is not friendly to trouble makers and you sound like you got into trouble on the bar side and are trying to cause more trouble on-line, Either that or you have a personal interest in Artie's. I have eaten in Arties also; they have good food with consistant quality but I found their servings to be skimpy because they are sold almost "Ala Carte"- and quite pricey.

It was a good place to eat when the Washington Redskins were world champions.

I think any place would be a good place to eat if that happened.

PJ Skidoo's , Best in consistent quality? relatively low priced.
Seriously.. ? !
you say some crap like that and then you accuse the OP that he must work there or something.

And Artie's does not have an ala-cart style menu, and skimpy? Not quite. I usually have to take food home.

Don't spout of bullshit on the internet when Google is only a click away

PJ's is just a more expensive Ruby-Fribennigans same food, different shit on the walls, higher prices.

Haha. I just ate at Artie's yesterday. It is NOT a-la-carte. I didn't think the portions were skimpy either- the portion sizes were perfect. I haven't eaten at PJ Skidoo's in over ten years, but I don't recall it being too special. Artie's, on the other hand, is pretty fantastic.

I use to go to PJ's alot but haven't been there in years. They use to have a great bar crowd. The nice part was that after closing you could walk over to Denny's and grab some food to sober up. It was also cool to see all the crazy drunk people in Denny's.

I have a lot of positive things to say about Skiddoos. First of all, it is a local restaurant and they care about the community. They have sponsored youth sports teams, donated to local charities, and been a part of the Fairfax City neighborhood for about 30 years. I have personally known both owners and both have been responsive and caring business people.

The food is not expensive but it is consistently good. Inflation has taken its toll on all restaurants but still the prime rib special is way under the cost of 90% of other eating places and the price has not gone up with inflation much.

The staff there is excellent. They are well trained and polite. The managers are always walking around checking with diners. I had my retirement party there in 2005 and and I was very pleased with the service, the food and the planning involved. In fact, many of my guests told me it was one of the BEST parties they attended due to the venue and the menu.

I love their chicken wings and their nacho platter. The only time I have not liked a meal there was the time I ordered chicken parmesan by mistake becuase I thought it said chicken piccata. It was my mistake not theirs.

Who the hell would go to DC to party anymore? DC? They don't even let you smoke at the bar.. Its like being at a school dance where you have to go outside to burn one. I'm not an everyday smoker, but when I drink the two go together. The Old Commonwealth is where the REAL bars are at now.

Hey Bob, did your aunt try to "get with you" later that evening?

Why? Does the idea excite you? Or do you think that since it happened to you, it must happen to everyone?

Have you updated your sex offender registration info lately? Apparently you are a sexually deviant individual.
