I don’t think anyone is mad about the mattress formerly known as Kliner winning Sheriff. What she’s done is essentially what anyone that’s worked with her figured would happen. What is somewhat surprising is the acts of those under her. Many of them used to be a joy to work with back in the day. I guess it’s not too surprising however considering that once some people move up that high they forget where they came from. It’s just really unfortunate how people sell their souls to the department all for a paycheck. I guess the lesson here is, don’t trust anyone here with anything. Show up, complete the minimum expectations, and go home. Or call out sick. It doesn’t really matter anymore anyway. You can be reprimanded for doing your job just as easily as for depleting your leave balance. I suppose one should ask themself if it’s time for a career change.

Stumpy: you are right about the mid and upper level management. Some were poor floor deputies and created problems when easier solutions were available. Now in management they are punitive to the people doing the actual work. The truth is you can reduce by a third and everything would run smoothly.
Do not force people to work overtime, show your employees they are appreciated and respected. Do not say it in roll call and not follow through on practice.
Management pretty much forces you to treat it like a job and not a career. Good time to switch careers.

D/H is a joke and the inmates know it. I’ve seen inmates be moved and charged that day just to be on the 1900hr move that same night.

This administration is the one who continues to have quarantine blocks even though it sets up every deputy who works there for failure. Watch the command staff come in the blocks they know it’s a nightmare because as soon as they come in they clinch their ass cheeks and run out. They barely stay for 20 seconds. I find it interesting that they created this post yet will never step foot in it because they are scared.

You want to know why you lost a large portion of your staff and will continue to lose more. You all were silent during the start of covid. You were one of the last ones to come up with a plan. You were and still are silent during all the riots and defund the police movements for the last 2-3 years. You all continue to give inmates more and more by eliminating d/s bedding, the loaf, and not giving harsher punishments. You tell us to change how we handle ourselves with inmates and expect it to change as easy as a light switch, even though the people in charged now are the ones who taught us to handle inmates the way they used to. You all continue to implement quarantine post even though it’s a big joke and no inmate has died or been hospitalized. You have to wonder if this is all done on purpose because they want us to leave.

If you give a shit then talk to you staff and listen to their complaints and fix them. Also stop promoting people to sergeants and lieutenants. You need more people working the floors not more supervisors who hide because they are lazy or scared like a bunch of bitches.

Let me save you some time and heartache —- nearly 100% of “management” doesn’t give a shit about you or what you’re posting.
