Sounds like you have had some bad luck. I have had Lennox heat pumps last over 25 years with only one or two minor repairs. My current home is heated by a Lennox heat pump that was installed in 1989. I think the quality of the installation is more important than the quality of the equipment. You might have had a crappy installer.
