We had an asshole for a president, Abraham Lincoln (who, by the way, despised Blacks, and wanted them removed from the U.S. and sent to Central America).

According to the United States Government, the States were not a sperate Country. So, they were still part of the United States. Therefore, they are American Flags. The Bonnie Blue Flag pre dates the war. And any number of State Flags to include the Commonwealth of Virginia Flag were also used by Confederates. I suppose we should get rid of that Flag too? It's a shame political correctness and ignorance has replaced what used to be an understanding of the War and aftermath.
