Anyone know off a rental car location in the area that allows for after hour drop off? Would like to return Sunday night but most in the area are closed on Sunday.

How about airport locations? I know some are open on Sunday and I think they stay open until 10.

Enterprise on Backlick have an after hours drop box.

Just about all the ones at Dulles stay open all night. Hertz does not. Avis/Budget do and their shuttle bus runs from the terminal all night too.

Most places do. I know the Enterprise locations in Fairfax (across from Fairfax HS and also in the Comfort Inn) have them. They do charge you until Monday morning though.

You should check first - mine charged me as if I brought it in on Saturday evening. Enterprise is usually pretty good about that kinda thing.

Be careful about using a drop box. In addition to additional rental fees if you use the drop box and leave the car overnight for a period when they are not open...you are also STILL legally responsible for the vehicle during this time.

FCPD is aware of several car thefts that have taken place at non-airport rental offices recently where customers drop their cars, use the drop box and the vehicles are being stolen or having parts removed for re-sale during the time the office is closed.
