Items Stolen from Residence on Maple View Lane

Apparently I fell prey to some of the same shenanigans that others have reported in the area. My vehicle was broken into at my residence either late at night on the 24th of October or early in the morning of the 25th on Maple View Lane in Greenbriar. 3 skateboards were stolen along with a Bose Sounddock and a Green 3rd Generation Ipod Nano.

Two of the skateboards belonged to my son and daughter and the other I've had since the late 80's when I was a kid. They are pretty distinctive and stand out and I've included photos of the boards below. Please be on the lookout or let me know if someone has dumped them off somewhere or if you see someone riding them around. Thank you!

Why would you leave expensive items in a vehicle???

You know you are just asking for it.

Should the thief or victim be held accountable, or both???

Enjoy filing a claim to either your car or homeowner's insurance, YOUR RATES ARE ABOUT TO GO UP!!!

I really hate that response. People transport stuff in their cars all the time. It's what what makes a car useful. Inevitably, there will be times your stuff needs to be in your car. What sucks is that people seem to think that since it's in a car it's the owner's fault that it was stolen. Cars are locked on private property. One would hope that would be enough to deter loser thugs from ripping people off.

For Christ's sake!!!! What time period are you living in?!?!?!? This isn't the 1930's, 40's, or 50's!!!! Do you know the BARIO & SILVERBACK age that we are living in right now???? Be glad the car wasn't stolen!

Obama has taught Americans that if someone has something they want, they should just take it from them, as anyone with more possessions than you is evil and didn't earn them to begin with. Of course, Obama will have SS thugs guarding his shit 'round the clock for the rest of his life.

It's sad that you have received so many snarky replies. I don't live in your area, but I might suggest you talk with the local middle and high schools and see if you can post signs. My bet is that some of the kids at the schools would know who took them.

your loss is no different that any other idiot who leaves their wallet, cell phone, laptop, gps, or ipad in their vehicles and think that "locking the doors" is going to keep your stuff safe. if you idiots wouldnt leave valueble stuff in your vehicle, it wouldnt get broken into and stolen. thinking that locking your doors "should be enough", then your an idiot. take your stuff inside, or dont leave it in plain view.

Probably THUGS from East Meadows. We need to buy that property and tear it down. Do you see the scum that get on the bus to go to GBE? The school is 1/2 a mile from the apartments yet the kids are bussed because they are poor. Bullshit.

Please read what you just wrote, and think about it.

You are blaming the victim because blacks and illegals like to break the law and break into places. Taking your logic train to the end of the line makes us live in Mexico City north, with walls topped with broken glass and armed guards. I perfer locking up scum bags until they get old and stop thug lifing.
