A bullet discharged from a weapon inside a Centreville home on Saturday managed to travel through its walls and into those of a neighboring house.
Fairfax County Police received a call to respond to a home on the 14100 block of Sorrell Chase Court at 11:28 a.m., Fairfax County Master Police Officer Eddy Azcarate said.
No one was injured, but police did say a round was discharged and ended up traveling from that home to a nearby home, Azcarate said.
Police said 54-year-old Jay Hurst of Sorrell Chase Court is charged with discharging a firearm or missile within or at a building or dwelling house.
He was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention in Fairfax. Bond and release information isn't immediately available.
