Best theater to watch blockbusters

Interested in watching the new Bond flick. What's the best theater around the Fairfax area to watch it in? Is it showing in IMAX anywhere by chance?

The Fairfax Corner Cinema De Lux is good. They have big screens, good chairs and the sound usually isn't ear-bleeding. They're near Fair Oak Mall and the FFx Gov't Center (Taj Mahal.)

The theaters at Tysons I are excellent. Every theater is stadium seating with large comfortable chairs. The screens are big and the sound systems kick ass. I usually try to go to the first showings, around 11AM- it's never crowded at that time and you can sit wherever you want.

I like them too but they don't have the Bond movie there. In fact, I notice many times they don't always get the hot movie opening night.

Best Place to see movies:
Regal Kingstowne 16
AMC Tysons Corner
Fairfax Cinema Deluxe

What is it that Fairfax Cinema Deulxe does not play a lot of Blockbusters at the their theater?

This summer a lot of the big movies (Save THE DARK KNIGHT) were not that (Iron Man, etc..) Also, the new BOND movie is not there, but they still have NICK AND NORA'S INFINITE PLALIST.

If you can get a ticket Cinema Deluxe is the place to be and Tysons. They tend to make sure you watch the movie and are not disturned by assbags

WORST PLACES TO WATCH
AMC HOFFMAN CENTER
REGAL POTOMAC YARD
MAGIC JOHNSON THEATERS LANDOVER (bring a bullet proof vest)

Whats wrong with Hoffman Center? I like it, its pretty comfortable.

I'd rather go there than Ballston (in Arlington) or Springfield.

By the way, whatever happened to Hoytes (spelling?). I remember one from my childhood somewhere in Alexandria, but I don't remember what happened to it. Is it still there or what?

I think the answer to your question, is any theater with 'stadium seating'.

Tysons Corner 16 - probably has the best movies.

Cinema De Luxe - easiest to get in/out of.

Hoffman 22 - has an iMax theater.
