This has probably been covered a good while back bit I've only known about FU for 5-6 months...

How long can someone live in a camper parked on the streets of Fairfax county? Does anyone know the specific laws??

I assume you're talking about a small/medim camper, not one of those big
bus-sized RVs?

my neighbor's friend has been living in his bus-sized RV parked on the street
for almost a year. I was told the RV cost almost 1.4 million dollars!
Apparently they're doing this because their house is being built...

About as long as you can live in a van down by the river.

Great Farley quote, 496.

I'm sure there are laws against it, but it also seems like one of those things that would be really hard to detect in the first place.

I've seen a camper parked on Pinnacle Drive in Tysons (Between Da Domenico and the Wachovia building.) for months, if not over a year. I think you just have to pick a place where the RV or Camper doesn't stick out like a sore thumb or where people will not call the police to complain about it.

Hell, I remember a few years back, there was a guy living in his pickup truck in the McLean safeway parking lot, for at least 18 months, and that truck stood out, he had a blue tarp over the top on his truck bed and the tires were almost flat after a while.
