I would concur that it is a generational thing, but I'd be willing to bet that for the under 35 crowd, the percentage is greater than 50 these days. During a rather drunken happy hour a couple weeks back, the issue was raised with the paralegals in my firm that were attending. I'd say 3 out of 4 answered in the affirmative as to whether the floors were tiled.

There are different shades of blondes. Blonde, dirty blonde, ashen, golden, strawberry blonde, etc. Yes, they are product blondes too but it goes for the true blondes.
Also, if you are a true blonde who has golden or ashen hair it is possible to the carpet is darker.
However, if you believed in cleanliness/good hygiene you would rid yourself of the carpet completely or leave a landing strip at the very least.
