Go to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter on West Ox Road near Fair Oaks Shopping Center. Many small friends to go stright to your heart. Free but you do have to pay spaying and some other fees. Your best pal is waiting for you there. And will adore you..

Agree with you. Petsmart also run a adoption day that you can meet you future pet. I suggest a cat to OP . Best wishes.

The perfect lap dog is the Shih Tzu. They do not shed, and their hair is almost like human hair. Excellent for those suffering allergies because they are hypoallergenic, and shed off very little dander. They are great for apartment life, and females are very easy to house break - Crate Training.

Try a nice paramecium or norovirus. They don't eat much and take up very little space in your apartment.
