Just one question! Who is this Shahid Malik Character?

I'm sure there are a few people out there who have seen the signs on the side of the road in Centreville? My question is real simple who is this Shahid Malik character? I see more than 20 signs when I drive home and I'm thinking maybe this gentleman might consider running for President of the United States in 2012.
Does anyone have any feedback here? Maybe the ticket for the Tea Party is Cain/Malik in 2012.

I believe he was running against long time incumbent county Supervisor Michael Frey
what I'm curious about is this the Malik of Malik Kabobs?

Isn't Malik kabobs in Fairfax at the Circle next to Advance Auto Parts?
Oh, and yes, Malik did run against Michael Frey. Sadly, Michael Frey still garnered 70% of the vote. The Centreville area - or, Sully District must be quite content with him as they have been for the past 20 years, or they would have yanked him out.
I'm not particularly sure what he does - in a good way for Centreville, though. He was awfully eager to get out there and get the day laborers center put up. However, I think there's probably another theory about why he was so eager to get that place up and running. I believe that his office was getting hundreds of calls per day regarding all of the day laborers hanging out by the Centreville library that he needed to do something quick to "screen" them away from the rest of the Centreville citizens. So, what better way to do it, other than to give them their own place? Just look at the condominums across the street from the library and the shopping center across from the Giant. Both of those places have black iron fences installed to keep the day laborers - at the time, from loitering on their grass and under the trees to stay in the shade.

I'm sure he is one of the Co-Founders of Malik's Kabab. I was just curious because his name is all over the place. I'm sure I ran into his name before on some old Indian pornos that I have in my collection!

He's a longtime US citizen and resident of the Sully district as well as current or former head of a gajillion charity-like institutions as well as head (or something) of an American-Pakistani something (not =Indian=).
Though I have nothing against Frey, I voted for Malik just for fresh blood.

Let me give you all a piece of advise. Over the past several years we have learned that one of our strongest allies Pakistan ended up turning their back on the United States of America. I'm saying this and I'm actually from a country that borders Pakistan. After what the Pakistanis did to the United States I would NEVER trust a Paki in a million years. There is always an exception to the rule and maybe this is the exception. However from experience they cannot be trusted!
