Chantilly gun show and obesity?
Posted by: RV ()
Date: September 27, 2013 05:00PM

I think there might be a direct correlation with gun owners and obesity. Im am not a researcher but wanted to know if everyone who walked through the door had to step on a scale and weighted would it be enough scientific proof that 99% of gun owners are obese? I drove by the gun show and at first thought it was some sort of weight loss convention for fatties but to my surprise it was the gun show and was horrified. I would not be a bit surprised if the concrete sidewalks also have a shorter lifespan or if they are re enforced if a convention center knows gun shows might rent out their facility.

The only option besides a gun for defense is sitting
on you.
The only way to seperate a fat guy from his gun is give them a six pack and bag of chips.

Fat people have more surface area to protect with less physical abillity.

It's time I admit I get a tingle down my leg just thinking about real men and women who are able to handle firearms. That's why I hate them and myself so much. My mom will be so disappointed and take away my internet privileges if she finds out. Please don't tell her.

May be due to those gun folks having a lot of disposable income and eating at nice restaurants. You on the other hand better get upstairs, your Mom fixed your favorite, mac and cheese, before you report over at the Taco Bell for work.

Packing on the extra pounds is part of the whole prepper lifestyle.

When the inevitable food riots erupt after the collapse of the world's food supply due to global warming or a nuclear winter they will be living off their fat reserves plinking zombies from 500 yards away while you will be fighting off feral pit bulls with your now useless Prious keys and eating radioactive rats from the sewer system beneath your former yuppie paradise.

All part of God's great plan.

I'll be fine up here in Canada, eh?

It's not just the gun shows. Any public gathering is full of fatties. I went to six flags in MD, and holly crap, I've never seen so many disgusting fat blobs in skimpy clothes. One chick got kicked off the roller coaster in the row ahead of me because she was too fat for them to cram the bar down and lock her in.

So don't beat on the gun owners- all of america are nasty fatties.

The stats for yesterday have been released! The total number of calories consumed at the gun show was approximately 17 billion -- 14 billion of which were from fat.

I heard 1.13 million hot dogs were consumed yesterday, 6 tons of beef jerky and 280 55 gallon drums worth of diet soda.

Oscar Meyer keep a close eye on these gun shows. Hot dog production and gun shows have a direct correlation. For some reason the overweight also prefer diet coke over regular coke. Not sure why but I heard it makes themselves feel better after eating a 12 pack of wieners and staining their shirt with globs of mustard.

I attend the gun show occasionally and it looks like Fairfax

I get it, you are the unkempt string bean everyone picked on in H.S. and beyond. To prove your manhood to the world you attend gun shows to flex your guns. I bet you have a drawer full of 5.11 tactical gear daydreaming about the day you might be able to whip out pistol in defense while playing grand theft auto 3. Of course it looks like Fairfax to you, you hang out with gun show attendants and chronically tell your war stories/gun knowledge to the guy behind the counter at a local gun store who is just as weird as yourself 5 times a week.

What's wrong with being fat, stupid and owning lots of guns.
Guns don't yell, scream or fart. They don't take my beer or food, steal my porn or yell when I leave the seat up on the toilet. My guns don't say a word when I jerk off in my underwear. I like guns and fuck off if you don't. God bless America and S&w,Glock and Colt. Maybe not S&W.

Actually, that's brilliant! Set up a testing center at the show. Just think how many undiagnosed cases there must be there. And if you screen for elevated cholesterol and high blood pressure you've covered all the bases for metabolic syndrome!

Obesity, gun ownership, tea partying are all side effects of disinfrachisment. Let them have their guns because their life is so disappointing to themselves. When you're completely impotent in life, you can certainly control the shit you pile into your face.

While my firearm of choice is a Glock 31 .357 sig caliber, I do happen to like the 17. Accuracy plus the cost of ammo these days.

Because guns are still permitted among the general population in this country, and because the general population is burdened with or approaching obesity at the current rates of close to 80%, what you see at the gunshows simply means that they are mostly Americans patronizing gun shows. Let them have their toys and beer!

I've always considered a very tolerant human being. But I will make an exception for you. Take your intolerance and insert it up your ass.

Oh yea, I don't have a problem with guns, just the pussies who feel emasculated without them.
Now go have a nice day.:)

The fact that the above makes absolutely no sense notwithstanding, 80% isn't the number for the overall population. 80% might be the gun show number, though I think it's a little low. :-)

The highlight of the show will be to watch Ted Nugent shit in his pants on stage like he did to get out of being drafted and serving his country. THe NRA will package it and sell it to their members as incense. Hope they have a sign on the door that says pull or the lines outside could get long as they try to push to enter. What a bunch of Fuck Nuts!

How do Liberals get so worked up on guns and the gun industry? Besides cleaning and cooking for the hipster doofuses that are the Democrats, do women also have to do all the thinking for Liberal men, too?

If they really want to sell even more guns they just need to post a few pics for the Philippines or maybe some old NO Katrina pics.

17 billion calories were consumed during the last show in September. Preliminary estimates for this weekend's show are 17.6 billion -- the fatties are getting even fatter. :-)

Gun owners also ingest each others body fluids. Go figure why only teeny weenie guys are into guns. Closet homosexuals.

The vast majority of them. Disability should not me offered to gun owners. 90 million pounds of fat was at the gun show, a new world record. I bet that place smells like body odor and cigarettes. The health department should shut it down for toxic odor.

Yeah, just awful jokes all around. And isn't this thread focused on the show attendees being overweight and not "teeny weenie"? I was there today and there were some disgustingly fat people and general hygiene was lacking. Couple motorized scooters, too.

The fact that someone owns a gun proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are ignorant and cowardly. Ignorance and obesity go hand in hand. Maybe they should consider having their little gun shows at this place,

Sounds right to me! And the ones who weren't "disgustingly fat" were just "fat". :-)

I went to the gun show and I'm a short lady who is not fat. My parents also came along with me and neither one of them are fat. If you actually went to the show and walked in you would actually see most of the people who go aren't fat. The time you drove by and looked you must haven just saw the only ones that were fat. Not all fun owners are fat and have money to blow on guns. I know I don't but I purchased a gun to protect myself from the people who do have mental problems and can't control themselves. If you went you would also know you can't purchase a gun unless you have two forms or ideas showing your address on both and you go through a background check. Half the people that come to the fun show drive from far away. If you have such a problem with fat people why don't you boycott FFC?

Some folks prepare for any contingency, others are sheep.I would be included in the first. The reason I own , train, and know when and where it should be used is just another chapter on protecting my property and family should the need arise. Not only guaranteed by the foresight of our first leaders , but the mature and responsible thing to do as an adult. After owning and sometimes carrying it for 40 years and never having to take it out of the holster, represents most gun owners. The deviant and mentally ill dont speak or represent the majority of us. Shooting and hunting is primarily a hobby and sport for the majority. Thanks to the media and misguided liberals, the demonizing of gun ownership continues every time one of these individuals decide to ruin every one else's day. As for the obesity factor you speak of, try going to a train show or other collectable show.I think you speak of the lifestyle of the majority of Americans. Your rants are only a method to try to cloud an issue you obviously dont understand or care to learn about.Hopefully if you are ever in a situation where someone angry at the world for whatever reason begins killing (not necessarily with a gun) , someone who has a weapon and knows how to use it, saves you and your judging relations from harm. But I know many of your TYPES, IF SOMEONE DID SAVE YOUR ASS WHILE WHILE DOING NOTHING, you would tell the newsreporter a fantasy likend to the fact the offender should have been shot in the foot or it could have been handled in a non lethal way. If you think that, then step up my friend, get your hands dirty , and get a good dose of reality.

This is just flat out wrong. I shoot for a hobby, what do you do to pass the time? I've never pointed my gun at a person nor do I ever plan on doing so.

I haven't been to the gun show is almost a year. The price of admission is prohibitive, the selection is about the same from one dealer to the next, and I suspecthtat they collude on prices because I see little competition. Havinf said that, the bigger reason to avoid this place is the sea of human misery that wafts in from all over Northern Virginia and the surrounding area. By order of magnitude, they are as follows:

Fat, white hillbilly from the western suburbs; dressed in either RealTree or MossyOak togs and reeking of cigarettes; in summer, his soft, white belly is visible as it dips below the strained elastic of his sweat pants converted to shorts at home by his egually fat common-law wife

Fat, white gamer with a neckbeard; dressed almost entirely in black; accessories include an EDC shoulder bag packed with lots of goofy shit and a civil war forage cap atop his greasy hair; the only reason he can afford the buy a weapon is because mom is too soft to charge him rent. He wishes zombies were real.

Pasty white guy fresh from church with three little girls in tow...ages 8, 7, and 6; his wife is in the car shoving a full tit into his one year old son's mouth. Some day he will be able to afford a gun, but right now the kids need stuff. Jesus loves his kids and reminds him that rubbers are bad.

Two white guys and a black girl from University of Maryland; they've never seen guns before, but here they will get to touch one for the price of admission. One of the guys spends $13 on a cheap menacing assisted opening knife. He dicks around with it ion the car ride home and cuts his palm and the upholstery. The driver gets angry and causes an accident on Father Hurley Blvd
