Such anger from such a little mind. However the underlying statement is correct. Unless you moved, you should only get ONE property tax bill. If you got a bill from both, chances are that someone erroneously reported you living in the City when you live in the County, or vice versa. Unfortunately it means having to deal with our beloved bureaucracies, but such are the joys of living here.

If you did move, then yes you do have to pay. Fairfax prorates the tax during the year, so if you are a resident of the City for part of the year and the County for part of the year, you have to pay both.

Regardless of where the hostility and stupidity lie, PP Tax is a fucking racket.

Where's all that $$$ going, putting some more bricks in the handicapped ramps throughout the city? That was sorely needed, wasn't it.
