Went to the courthose for Jury Duty last week - parked in the garage, walked to the courthouse. Walked back to the garage afterward.

1. If you just got a ticket why did you go to the Courthouse to pay it? They have other alternatives.
2. If you have a disability there are alternate parking arrangements.
3. If the weather is crappy then take the flyover ramp to employee parking and walk thorugh that garage. You will still have a short uncovered walk, but not nearly as far.
4. Exercise is good for you.

He gave me ticket for failing to use signal on a dark and cloudy night with no traffic except for the cop zooming up to ride my ass so i was getting out of his a-hole way

i guess that explains my being pissed off at the long walk, the time to go and pay, the fine and the likely increase in my insurance

btws seems a lot of you others are familiar with this journey to the courthouse lawyers, cops and criminals? not be a frequent visitor to the courthouse
i didn't know about the crossover from one parking garage to the other and who the hell do you call about handicap parking when you got some effing phone tree that lasts for 10+ minutes

I was there today. It was a long walk. It did suck. It was cold too.

I have been there a few times and am thankful it is so easy to park and not far to walk. Be lucky you dont have to go to DC or Arlington.

The fun part is to see how some people dress going to court. The gangbangers with the baggy pants and jewelry just asking for extra time in jail from the judge. The latin girls wearing sausage tight mini skirts when they really shouldnt. Then you have the leftover Fairfax hillbillies wearing Dale Sr tee shirts.

Christ if I was facing any kind of charge I would beg borrow or steal a shirt and tie and at least make a half ass attempt to show the court some respect.

Everything legitimate you can do online. If you're going to the courthouse, it's probably not for a good reason and you did something wrong. Consider the walk a part of your punishment.

Not true, in that building is also the Probate Office. So if you have to probate a will you need to make a personal visit.
