Reston Sunday 7-Eleven Robber Strikes Again
Posted by: Barney Fifh ()

The Reston Sunday 7-Eleven robber strikes early. Reston police failed to catch him again.

Seems a 6 foot robber enjoys robbing the 7-Eleven every Sunday night in Reston off Soapstone Road. He was a little early late night. Last time it was 5am, this time he robbed the place around 2:30am.

Bets on if he'll rob it again this Sunday night?

LMAO! The same clerk this time and the guy told him to f off!

An employee of the 7-Eleven store located at 2303 Soapstone Drive was robbed on Monday, October 27. The victim, a 48-year-old Reston man, was working behind the counter around 2:45 a.m. when a man entered the store, confronted him and demanded money. The victim refused and the suspect displayed a handgun, grabbed several items from the store and fled. The victim was not injured.

The suspect was described as 6 feet tall and 160 to 170 pounds. He wore a black, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black gloves. His face was covered.

Is this why there was a helicopter circling the area early Monday morning?

I thought it was funny that the Kroger's near my college campus kept getting robbed every thursday night back in 1989.

I just assumed it was only west virginia cops who couldn't figure this big caper out.

How hard is it to put a cop in a 7-11 uniform this sunday night and every sunday night until the mastermind strikes again? Maybe put a few dozen cops waiting in cars in a few discreet but nearby locations ready to saturate the area once this evil genius pops up?

Even if he somehow outsmarts the cops once again, he'll probably never try it again, and it is obvious this is his only crime plan.

but doing that would require effort on their part. besides, giving excessive traffic tickets are what they do best!

I'll admit that the flaw in my logic is that once you put some cops in a location, if it has a view of a road, is that, like wild dogs, they'll feel compelled to chase after the first moving object they see, and chase it down.

But if the alpha dog keeps reminding them that they'll get to take part in a pack activity of pouncing on a "bad guy", they might fight the urge to chase the nearest rapidly moving object.

It's all about proper training with operant conditioning.

Reston District Arrests Two in the robberies.

On Monday, October 27 around 7:38 a.m. Luke Steffan, 26, of 2216 Springwood Drive #T-1 in Reston, and Daniel Jenkins, 22, of 2054 Winged Foot Court in Reston, were arrested for the robbery at Soapstone Drive around 2:45 a.m. earlier that day. What? No complaining? Seems FCPD caught the bad guys. So I guess we can look forward to a segment from you clowns praising the great job the police did catching the bad guys-right? Right? Shouldn't hold my breath?

Haaaaaa! Are you kidding?! Don't hold your breath. Some of these know-it-alls are amazing. Take ol' Bobby for instance. Here's a guy who is up all night and feels the need to post his opinion on just about everything, like in this thread. These two kids rob a 7-11 store one Sunday and Bobby's solution is to "put a few dozen cops" on the case lying in wait presumably at each 7-11 store in the off chance that the robbers strike again. Of course, Bobby seems to forget that the police would have had no idea of the any emerging "pattern" until actually after the second robbery (this one), but no matter.

From the original post: "Seems a 6 foot robber enjoys robbing the 7-Eleven every Sunday night in Reston off Soapstone Road. He was a little early late night. Last time it was 5am, this time he robbed the place around 2:30am. "

Whatever these two jokers have to do with the 6 foot robber who had already robbed the same 7-11 at 5am one sunday and then a 2:30am the next sunday, I don't know.

Like you said, I wanted to "presumably" post cops at every 7-11. You presumed wrong, and lack reading comprehension skills. I'll explain the below quote to you:

"How hard is it to put a cop in a 7-11 uniform this sunday night and every sunday night until the mastermind strikes again? Maybe put a few dozen cops waiting in cars in a few discreet but nearby locations ready to saturate the area once this evil genius pops up? "

The first sentence asks how hard it would be to put a cop at the 7-11 in question in a 7-11 uniform, posing as a 7-11 clerk on the one night of the week that two robberies have already occurred. The second sentence then suggests that the police could basically surround the area without being visible, ready to converge on the area if the 6 foot robber struck again.

My name isn't "Bobby", but if it makes you feel big to say that, have at it. My name isn't even "Bob", actually. Didn't you notice everyone here is using some sort of alias (and one is actually using the alias, "alias"?)

I figured you chose the alias "alias" as a statement or a joke.

I chose Bob for about the same reasons. Isn't "Bob" a common name? Shouldn't that make a good alias? Everyone knows a few people named Bob. I worked at one office where there were 4 guys named Bob a few years back.

Yeah, that was me. [blush]

and about that carly simon video you posted. Are you trying to tell me that the song wasn't about me? I know she never says "Bob", but when she sings about me flying my lear jet up to nova scotia to see the total eclipse of the sun, I can't help but think that the song was about me. Because I totally did that a few years back.

Was that video shot at the season opening of the Tiki bar?

I wonder how they found the guy at 7:40 am. That's 5 hours after the robbery. I guess he popped up out of the woods?

Lurker, he moves around a lot. He might have just been at someone else's house, so even if they knew his identity and where he livews they would still have to go to all his haunts to find him.

Lurker,

It's highly addictive, worse than heroine for some people. People definitely will steal to have more.

If you're lucky, you might get $30 to $60 from the cash register, maybe a couple cartons of cigarettes.

Certainly worth going to jail for, doncha think? ;)
