Two men were arrested in Manassas on Friday after police said a pizza delivery driver arranged a drug deal.
Officers went to the area of Centreville Road and Liberia Avenue for a fight and found a man had robbed a pizza delivery driver, Manassas police Sgt. Lowell Nevill said.
"The driver and his manager chased the suspect and held him down," Nevill said.
An off-duty officer who saw the scuffle held the suspect until other officers arrived.
During the investigation, officers discovered the suspect "arranged to buy marijuana from the pizza delivery driver," Nevill said. The suspect then forcefully took the drugs.
David Donnell Hammond, 20, of the 9200 block of Sumner Lake Boulevard in Manassas, was charged with robbery, possession of marijuana, and disorderly conduct, police said. He was held without bond and his next scheduled court appearance is Oct. 15.
