Police in Staunton, Va. are searching for a teenager who recently moved there from Manassas.

Sabrina Lynn Terry, 13, was last seen in Staunton on August 17 at 3 a.m., Staunton police spokeswoman Lisa Klein said.

Terry moved to Staunton from Manassas earlier this month, Klein said.

Anyone who has seen Terry or has information to her whereabouts is asked to call Staunton police at 540-332-3852.

On Mom's FB it's stated that she was staying at a family friend's house. Her cell phone goes straight to voicemail.

There are also photos of her on Dad's FB. (The light blonde hair seems to be new... she was darker blonde). Someone mentions that they hope he's helping to take care of Sabrina because she needs it. On another photo Mom says that she's a mean little brat that keeps getting in trouble.

STAUNTON — Thirteen-year-old Sabrina L. Terry was last seen sleeping in her bed Saturday at 3 a.m.

As of Tuesday afternoon, after three days police were still actively searching for the missing Staunton teen.

“We do not have a location for her yet,” said Officer Lisa Klein, a spokeswoman for the Staunton Police Department.

On Monday, Staunton police issued a bulletin that the teen was considered missing.
Klein said Sabrina had only been living in Staunton for about a month after relocating from Manassas.

Police have scoured social media sites, followed several leads, contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation and have been in touch with multiple law enforcement agencies throughout the state in an effort to find the teen.

“We are doing everything that’s physically possible to locate her,” Klein said.
There is speculation that the teen might have left the area, Klein said. Asked if the teen could have met with foul play, Klein said, “We don’t know.”

Anyone with information concerning the teen’s whereabouts can call Klein at (540) 332-3852.

Why are Amber Alerts not being posted for these kids when they go missing? We find out today and she went missing Saturday? Come on people, this is unacceptable! Hope she is found safe and sound and God will keep her safe!

The whole thing is fishy. A troubled 13yo who moved to Staunton without parents? Her mom probably sold her to some dirty pervert and she just escaped.

Try to read up on what an Amber Alert is before accusing law enforcement of "unacceptable" do-nothing behavior. An Amber Alert isn't just a report of a missing person, it is an alert about a known abduction that usually includes vehicle and plate info so others can report if they see it. In this case it appears they don't know if she was abducted, which hardly rises to the "acceptable" Amber Alert level of knowing someone was abducted, who abducted him/her, what vehicle they are likely in, and the general geographic area the vehicle is believed to be traveling in.

Probably a case of a runaway but I hope she is okay whatever the circumstance.

Really? Yes Sabrina is a troubled teen, that is the reason she was staying where she was. It was not from lack of her parents and family members doing everything they could to help her. Her whole life story was not posted because it didn't need to be. The fact remains SHE IS A 13 YEAR OLD CHILD THAT IS MISSING! Whether she may have ran away or was abducted we don't know and that is the problem, she is missing. Not that she was a troubled teen. "Her mom sold her" really???? You don't know these people and clearly know nothing about the situation. If you don't want to share the post then don't but keep your ridiculous comment that you know nothing about to yourself.

I do know this girl and she is really a sweet kid that grew up too fast because of being around the wrong people. Please reframe yourself from making comments about people you don't even know... and when you are talking about her mom's boyfriend you are talking about my family and in that case you are hurting me.. so please stop

Teenagers are alien beings. As if growing up and learning responsibility weren't enough, they must also deal with a large dose of hormones. While some kids handle this all well, many, many others do not. The good news is that they can get through this with help from family. Unfortunately, they may not appreciate the help at this point in their lives. I hope you find her soon. Cowards post anonymous nasty messages.

I also really hope said boyfriend of mother is keeping his hands to himself and the comment about molestation was just cruel and unwarrented. I hope this child is found and brought to a safe place.

Grandma also used "effects" when the word she should have used was "affects"

Posts like that one give a lot of insight to the type of situation kids like this missing girl grow up in. Admitting that "she had to grow up fast" is not something the average Grandmother utters about her child's child....

Yes, this story had a happy ending this time, but it will repeat itself over and over again until the cycle is broken. A higher power is needed to here to help young Sabrina. That being said, I offer this prayer...

Heavenly Father,

Apart from You I am nothing and I can do nothing.
Please give me strength when I have none
so that I may see the best in life.
Mend my world when it has crumbled
so that I may help others rebuild in their time of need.
Bring me down to Earth
when it seems that my head is piercing the Heavens
so that I may recall, and rejoice in Your power.
In my life, let me help those in need
and need those who can help.
May I never forget Your power.
May I never forget Your grace.
May I never forget Your mercy.
Amen.

“The LORD says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you” (Psalm 32:8).

My faith in humanity is completely diminished. How can you people break down a little girl who is missing! I dare any one of you to go up to her parents and say the same shit you're saying now. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. She is a teenager, they have some growing up to do and some mistakes to make. How can you judge her and talk about her when you don't even know her. Did you ever think she possibly became so troubled as to run away because she's tired of the lies and accusations about her made by complete strangers and cowards? Shame on you.

This whole story does not add up. If she was allegedly found alive in Manassasses, how did she get there? She did not drive and there is no evidence she took a bicycle. Did she walk, and what did she eat along the way? Where did she sleep? In the woods? How did she get water for the long walk? Who owned the girl's body they found in Reston? It sounds fishy and I agree that probably the parents were trying to sell her into white slavery, possibly for the sex trade. They were almost assuredly involved somehow. Also, what is supposedly wrong with her nose as someone mentioned? She doesn't appear to need a nose job.

Try reading the posts above, per her mother on facebook a cousin was helping her. Supposedly there is a history of bad girl behavior with this girl since their parents split up. Classic example of a teenage girl with no firm father figure in her life. As for the body that was found, it was a 16 year old girl that was found in Vienna and has nothing to do with this story. The only two bodies found in Reston were old men. One was a suicide the other was a 91 year old that decided to go for a swim.

Yes, this child is a mess. I know her. She is very intelligent.
She needs help that she probably will not get in the system.
As for her parents, they are in and out of the system so fast that it's not funny.
My heart breaks for her Grandmother!!! Who stepped up and took this child in and did her best to care for her. In my eyes - this woman is a saint!!!!

As for Sabrina's mother.....she found her a new man and has new kids......Sabrina was not part of her "NEW" family......

As for Sabrina's father......he is just looking for the next party......

She got back to Manassas with the help of friends. And was kept hidden for days by many people. Party crowds stick together.....

So I feel pity for Sabrina. It's hard for a 13 year old girl in a normal family.....but I can only imagine what it's like when you know you are not wanted.

"Mom" and "Dad" can now go on FB and act concerned?!?!?!? Please.....dont make me sick!!!!!

As for the person that she was staying with "family" in Stanton.....it was not a family member.....it was a 79 year old man that like to pay way too much attention to this little girl. The entire neighborhood questioned this situation!!!!!!

So when you are making comments on Sabrina's family.... I know them personally. The blame for this little girls problems can be put on her parents....she was only doing what she had seen them do her entire life!!!!

Pray for her Grandmother that not only took in Sabrina....but has taken in other children that their parents had abandoned......

Just as an FYI......there is a big difference between "Manassas" and "Manassas Park"......

There is no difference between Manassas and Manassas Park. So sick of the elitist bullshit that goes on in this area. The majority of you are trash- regardless of where you're from. Sitting here and talking trash about a young girl, and then calling out people of lower income who don't live in fucking Fairfax. Shove it up your rears. This is the problem with the world today. There is no solution to this disgusting bull. I hope for a natural disaster to come and then we'll sort out the weak from the strong. Good luck when the shit hits the fan, those of you locked in tthe status quo. People like myself are ready. You will be the first out.
