This is "Ron's Lawns" and they are scammers. They will do part of the job, say they need some supplies (you pay) and they leave and never return. They have quite a history with Fairfax County. The guy who runs it is Ron Head, has several addresses he used in Alexandria.

His cell is (571) 438-3017. Get someone else, he will take your money and not finish the job.

He's got two addresses, but I think the second is a rental property he owns.

The first address is 4014 Cool Brooke Way, Alexandria, VA 22306-1313. He lives in a house owned by his wife, the former Paula E. Peterson.

His other address is a townhouse at 7145 Tolliver Street, Alexandria, VA 22306 which he picked up on the cheap when the previous owner defaulted on his mortgage.

He also likes to hang out with musicians, because he's a drummer.

If he's a musician then the song he plays well is "Money" as that's all he's after.

This guy is upsell, take the money, and not do the job.

Fairfax County has him under investigation.

He has been calling my cell repeatedly after my initial call to inquire about his service and after I'd already told him that I would call him for an estimate if I wanted his service but he wouldn't stop calling. One time, my wife answered the phone and he told her that he was already doing work for us which is a lie because he doesn't even know our address.

for $25 the guy is desperate for business. I'd rather pay a neighbor kid $25 to cut it, even if they butchered it it's a learning experience for them.

If i wanted it done right, I'd do it myself or call a lawn service that is licensed and insured. Hiring this dude, you may as well pick an amigo at the 711/home depot- you know just as much about them!!!

The guy has been calling my cell phone 15 times today. This guy thinks he can get away with it. Already called the police department. He also tried to get his relative/friend working at Archstone to call, pretending they have a package for me but with no return address so I would call back and give them my home address.

I think I just got scammed by him too. He refused to answer my phone calls and he was supposed to come by and provide service unset a contract he drew up.

We got scammed also. He did the work of putting mulch and bricks but since he put it the bricks have been falling since. I've made several calls to him to fix it and he says he will come but never does. Keeps making excuses and never fixes his bad job.

I'd definitely like to report him and prevent others from hiring him.

i'm preety sure i've been to his place for a holiday party and it was not a wild holiday party

he and others i know or know of ARE denizens born here and do their own work - are good business people - and are not affiliated with rich political families

Who said anything about holiday parties, I paid him in full once he finished as agreed but the bricks he laid out are falling and crooked. I asked him about 5-6 times via phone to fix it and he said he would and he didn't. Trust me I wouldn't waste my time to put this out there if I wasn't happy with his work. He has lied to me about coming out each phone call and now stopped answering my calls.

Do not use this guy, Ron Head, of Ron's Lawns. He does not complete work, he does poor work, he makes promises he does not keep. He is listed as such by Fairfax County's Department of Consumer Affairs.

I would have to agree - he told me he was done yet he only did half of my back yard. He promised he would come back in 30 minutes. When I called him he basically chewed me out for asking why he didn't come back telling me his day was busy shopping. Needless to say I will be using someone else in the future

He is a fast talking man with no follow through and unprofessional attitude.
He claimed he was insured and bonded --- not true. He claimed he would come back to finish and didn't. Plus come to find out he really overcharged me and just where does he take yard waste -- some were put in my neighbors yard????

i know a contractor and this i'm sure of:

customers lie: especially rich foreigners. they demand work that they do not pay for, they then use their fucking foreigner friends in the county to write a report saying they are owed $$$ and work

i'm %100 sure of it. foreigners are sacks of shit.

most common sack of shit customers (ie in fairfax city) do this:

* never pays after job is done, but claim they are owed - or pays several months late

* nag and demand work that DOES NOT COME FREE with what they paid for free (ie, trimming when trimming wasn't an option discussed or paid for)

* flat out lie and file false reports to double dip - attack white contractors
