The Town of Leesburg is warning that Barak Obama's rally tomorrow may affect traffic through town and afternoon classes at the recreation center will be canceled.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama will begin his "Rally for Change" event at Ida Lee Park tomorrow at 5:30 p.m., with the gates opening at 3 p.m., and town officials are predicting that the event will draw 10,000 or more attendees.

Because of the amount of people expected to attend and the timing of the event, traffic flow on North King Street will likely be affected until 9 p.m. The Leesburg Police Department is suggesting that commuters through the area use alternative routes between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. to help ease traffic.

Ide Lee Park Recreation Center will remain open during the event for normal activities. However, all classes scheduled after 2 p.m. have been canceled and recreation center members and visitors should be prepared for travel delays tomorrow afternoon and evening on Ida Lee Drive.

Parking for the Obama rally will be in the front field of Ida Lee Park with overflow parking in the lacrosse field. The parking plan is the same as the plan used for the Town's Annual Fourth of July celebration.

The location has been changed at the last minute. It is now in Warrenton.

Yes, my campaign really f'd up when we did our event so were are trying to make Obama's event look foolish too.

Intelligent way to win votes, f-up rush hour for the richest county in the nation. Obama should have had the rally in the early afternoon, since most of his supporters do not work attendance would still be high.
