Comcast Digital Voice Jumps to $43.00 a month - time to switch

I get my bill from Comcast today and my phone(Comcast digital voice) has jumped to $43.00.

Anybody have suggestions for alternatives?

Verizon FiOS is supposed to be a good deal if you need phone, cable TV and Internet all together.

I would suggest Vonage...I have it and it works fine. Except you have Concast, which must run their internets off of rusty wires. Good luck! I'd say go with the Verizion Fios if you can get it.

we have had vonage for 2 years its 25 a month forever for everything unlimited voice and all the features. Also if you pay for a year ahead of time you save another 80 dollars

are you in a contract? can they just raise the price if ur in a fixed contract?

Guy from Comcast called back after I asked how it was to cutoff all my Comcast stuff and to switch to Verizon FIOS.

The guy said he would continued the promotional account for another year and refunded the price hike. I'm staying now.

I wish telephone companies wouldn't play these rate hike games. Seems like they hike the rates to see if anybody is paying attention and then wait to see if anybody complains. Those that complain get adjusted rates and those that don't pay the new rate.

Call your telephone company and tell them you are getting ready to switch, see if they lower your rate or give some extras.
