Prince William County and Alexandria City Schools are closed tomorrow, but FCPS is open?!?

Yep, we are open.
Montgomery County in MD are open because they have all of their parking lots and school sidewalks cleaned out. Arlington County Schools are also open (2 hour delay). We're open too even though we have 1000+ buses.

No one cares, there are 500 other threads on fairfax county schools. Stop polluting FFU. Watch the fairfax county website over and over and stop posting about the school cancelation

This is kind of interesting to watch. FCPS, right now, is trying to do everything in their power to stay open tomorrow. I think it's game over though, PG and PW have announced that they are closing.

I think they will stay open because Dale sent a message and said parents should keep kids home if they cannot get to school... which doesn't make much sense to me.

This is kinda funny. So the federal government has a unscheduled leave for tomorrow. (Federal Government, Washington - Open under delayed arrival/unscheduled leave (Tuesday))

FCPS is opening 2 hours late so that rush hour will passes and it is "safer" for kids. Many people will probably go to work on time, but doesn't the fed govn't unscheduled leave and fairfax county unscheduled leave defeat the purpose of what Dale wanted to avoid? (rush hour and school mixing together) I dunno, just a thought.
