It's not a question of whether he will win but by how much. Kerry won by 10 points in 2004. If the margin is greater than 20 points, Obama wins Virginia.

since Obama is going to win Virginia anyway, I guess I won't have to go
cast my vote for Obama on November 4... won't make any difference, since
he will win, with or without my one vote.... :(

That should read November 5. Republicans vote on the 4th this year, democrats on the 5th.

Our only hope is the "Bradley effect".

This is where folks will say they are voting for Obama, but once they get in the booth won't be able to bring themselves to vote for the black supremacist.

Why people would want to vote for someone who belonged to a racist church for 20 years is beyond me. I wouldn't vote for a KKK member; why would people vote for Obama?

Yes, McCain supporter, that's correct. You shouldn't cast your vote.

People who dropped bombs over thousands of innocent civilian Vietnamese are just as bad as people who attended racist church. Most Nazi soldiers had no choice but to follow orders and murder millions of Jews. If they didn't follow their orders, they'd be shot on the spot. Does that make these Nazi soldiers less guilty? Absolutely not... they're just as guilty as Hitler. If you're a decent human being, you would NOT obey orders from your commanders that would result in the death of innocent civilians. The orders may be technicall legal and valid, but definitely not moral. By not following such orders, you risk being shot or tried in military court... but that's the price you pay if you want to be a decent human being.

Why do angry Black preachers scare you more than angry White preachers (Hagee, the witch hunter that blessed Palin, etc.)?

Or is Wright simply the fig leaf you use to justify your decision, knowing it is made against all logic?

Simply put, voting for McCain in 2008 is akin to voting for Carter in 1980 or Hoover in 1932.

Or, maybe you think prosperity really is just around the corner.

A vote for Obama is like a vote for Joseph Stalin. He is an out right communist. He has no energy plan, he wants higher taxes to "spread the wealth around", he wants to treat carbon dioxide as a "pollutant", and on and on...

This year vote for the liberal (McCain) not the marxist (Obama).

Hey, maybe if you rich folks had actually created some jobs in the past eight years (*) (I mean, we reduced taxes and everything!) McCain could be cruising to election.

(*) Fun fact: More jobs were created during Carter's four years than during Bush's eight years.

He's not pulling some Robin Hood "take from the rich and give from the poor" maneuver. His tax plan, as I understand it, is more like "take more from the rich and take less from the poor." I fail to see how Obama's tax plan is anything like communism.

The world isn't fair, but I do take exception to giving me a little tax cut for going to work every day, and Paris Hilton a big tax cut for sitting around being whorish because she was born to the right people.

Are you making the two-fifty-kay that's going to see the slight increase in taxes? Because I'm sure as hell not. Fuck yeah more money!

Second, racist preachers who sneer at whites and call them racial epithets are disgusting.

Third, please provide any similar racist quotes from Palin or her minister.

Yes, job creation was impressive then due to the rampaging inflation eating away at everyone's survival. Many people had to take several jobs to survive, and many women - including many who did not wish to - had to go to work for the first time in their lives because the Carter-induced inflation forced them to for survival sake.

Way to try to spin horrible history into positive propoganda.

Unfortunately for the attempt, those of us who lived through it know better.

Ever heard of Capitalism and Entrepreneurism? Instead of waiting for a government handout, get off your ass and make something happen for yourself. Not all rich folks are born rich (I'm not rich in case you are wondering). If one is willing to risk a little to get somewhere in life they should not be penalized for hard work!!! If you want a socialist/communist society move to China, Cuba, or vote for Obama.

Or, you can vote for McCain, who will redistribute the wealth to large multi-million dollar corporations that have been making record profits under Bush. They obviously really need the tax break- I mean, just look at how many jobs they created during Bush's regime.

Maybe someone should tell the big oil CEO's or the dipshits at AIG to stop waiting for a government handout.

That is like saying Obama is a terrorist because he is associated with Bill Ayers or because Moammar Kadhafi supports him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojgJuxD87FU&feature=related
Yet, you cannot be sure McCain will redistribute the wealth...............

No, it's actually like saying that McCain wants to give billions of dollars of tax relief to the oil industry. Somehow you're confusing corporate welfare with "terrorists". Typical goofball scare-tactic.

In case you have not noticed, one has to be wealthy to run for political office. Maybe Obama will provide the poor with some of the $150 million he raised in September.
I would guess many actors/actresses and those in the music industry are liberal minded/Dems. Do you think for one minute those folks will stand for having their wealth redistributed to those less fortunate? Hell No! So no matter who is elected nothing changes, they all preach the bullshit that the voters want to hear.

The electoral college has already installed Obama in the White House. The popular vote is just a formality.

Many voters fail to recognize that it is the Congress that has the muscle, and all the promises a Presidential candidate makes means nothing if it does not have the support of Congress.

Obviously, the Congress in office today is hardly anything to write home about. For this reason, it is more important than ever before that EVERY registered voter get to the polls and vote for a Congressional member who best respresents your political views.

If you do not like Obama's platform, vote for Republicans or Independents to respresent you in Congress. And the same for McCain.

Personally, I take my voter VERY seriously. During the past 40 years, I have not missed ONE SINGLE election. I also take my right to split a ticket very seriously and a civil duty to ensure there are sufficient checks and balances between the Executive and Legislative branches of the goverment.

The entertainment types are pro-Democratic and pro-Obama are not bleeding hearts; it is clearly in their own economic interests to do so. The Republican/Bush policies of the past decade inspire rampant anti-Americanism around the world and reduce the appeal of American movies, records, etc. Even with higher taxes, the entertainment types will make far more money if the US has more "soft power" under an Obama administration than they will if the rest of the world continues to turns to Bollywood, Korea, etc. for entertainment.

Why I Can’t Vote For Obama

Dear Friends,
A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an
e-mail with a few points. With the election just around the corner I
decided to complete my perspective. Those of you on my e-list have seen
some of this before but its worth repeating..
First I must say who ever wins the election will have my prayer
support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need
to explain why I will not be voting for him.
Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness.
I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ
follower) means he leads I follow. I can’t dictate the terms he does
because he is the leader.
I can’t vote black because I am black I have to vote Christian because
that’s who I am. Christian first black second. Neither should anyone
from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from
now I wont be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I know
Jesus and accepted him as Lord and savior.
In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society
gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human
cloning to name a few wrong economic concerns will soon not matter.
We need to follow Martin Luther King’s words don’t j
udge someone by the
color of their skin but by the content of their character. I don’t know
Obama so all I can go off is his voting record.
His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in
the US Senate in 2007.
NATIONAL JOURNAL: Obama: Most Liberal Senator in 2007 (01/31/2008)
To beat Ted Kennedy and Hilary Clinton as the most liberal senator,
takes some doing.
Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years. I wonder what would
happen to America if he had four years to work with.
There is a reason planned parenthood gives him a 100 % ratings.
There is a reason the homosexual community supports him.
There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc loves him.
There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the
supreme court.
There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill.
There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex
marriage.
There is a reason he voted no on partial birth abortion.
There is a reason he voted no on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito.
These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned
partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.
Lets take a look at the practice he wanted to continue.
The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedure
A. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby’s leg with
forceps.
(Remember this is a live baby)
B. The baby’s leg is pulled out into the birth20canal.
C. The abortionist delivers the baby’s entire body, except for the head.
D. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby’s skull. The scissors
are then opened to enlarge the hole.
E. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The
child’s brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead
baby is then removed.
God help him.
There is a reason Obama opposed the parent notification law.
Think about this you can’t give a kid an aspirin without parental
notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental
notification. This is insane.
There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright’s church for 20 years.
Obama tells us he has good judgement but he sat under Jeremiah Wright
teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wrights sermons. I wonder
why now?
Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. A
disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matthew 28 v 19 - 20 Go
and make disciples of all nations. This means reproduce yourself. Teach
people to think like you, walk like you, talk like you believe what you
believe etc. The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him?
Would you support a White President who went to a church which has
tenants that said they have a
1. Commitment to the White Community
2. Commitment to the White Family
3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired20skills
available to the White Community .
5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for
Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace
the White Value System
7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.”
Would you support a President who went to a church like that?
Just change the word from white to black and you have the tennants of
Obamas former church. If President Bush was a member of a church like
this, he would be called a racist. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would
have been marching outside.
This kind of church is a racist church. Obama did not wake up after 20
years and just discovered he went to a racist church. The church can’t
be about race. Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for
the whole world.
A church can’t have a value system based on race. The churches value
system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if its a
white church or a black church its still wrong. Anyone from either race
that attends a church like this would never get my vote.
Obama’s former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal
theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of
Liberation. Cone once wrote: “Black theology refuses to accept a God
who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If
God is not for us
and against white people, then he is a murderer, and
we had better kill him.
Cone is the man Obama’s mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this?
So what does all this mean for the nation?
In the past when the Lord brought someone with the beliefs of Obama to
lead a nation it meant one thing judgement.
Read 1 Samuel 8. When Israel asked for a king.
First God says 1 Samuel 8 v 9 Now listen to them; but warn them
solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will
do.”
Then God says
1 Samuel 8 v 18 When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from
the king
you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day.”
19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said.
“We
want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations,
with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.”
21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before
the LORD. 22 The LORD answered, “Listen to them and give them a
king.”

Here is what we know for sure
God is not schizophrenic
He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for
McCain. As the scripture says a city divided against itself cannot
stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God.
Maybe I am the one not hearing but I know God does not change and Obama
contradicts many things I read in scripture so I doubt i
t.
For all my friends who are voting for Obama can you really look God in
the face and say Father based on your word, I am voting for Obama even
though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth
abortion.
He might have to nominate three or four supreme court justices, and I
am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws
that are against you.
I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though
you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this.I know I can look the other
way because of the economy.
I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama’s positions. Finally
I have two questions for all my liberal friends.
Since we know someone’s value system has to be placed on the nation,
1 Whose value system should be placed on the nation.
2 Who should determine that this is the right value system for the
nation?

Blessings,
Huntley Brown

Educate yourself before you vote, or do you just want "Change"? Oh well, "Change" is an easy fast read. Then when asked what did you vote for you can reply, "Change".

Yeah, nothing's more "educated" than some nimrod christian posting scriptural references about a political race. Fucking bible-bangers.

Just out of curiousity, do you know ANYTHING about Obama? He quotes scripture, he courts evangelicals, etc. You really do seem blind and clueless. Stick to recommending restaurants, fat boy.

Who said I was voting for Obama?

Edit: Actually, I'm glad I went back and read this, because "God is not schizophrenic" is the best laugh I'll have all day.

How could anyone hate America enough to vote for a ticket with Sarah Palin on it?

God isn't schizophrenic. I mean, there must be some logical explanation for his transformation between the old and new testaments. I mean, he did get laid...

I don't really buy that. God lost his virginity to another man's wife, which I heard he's kind of against. Plus, when you get laid for the first time (especially for men), it opens your eyes to how super cool sex is, and you want to do it even more. Since we were modeled after God, it stands to reason that he should be even more wrathful these days, in light of the two thousand year dry spell he's going through.

I'll concede that he's not schizophrenic, as long as we can agree that he's at least bi-polar.

The new testament woudn't actually cover most of that 2000 year dry spell - just the very beginning when he is still glowing from discovering sex and parenthood. I mean, even a century must pass quickly when you are as old as god.

However, you have a valid point. Obviously he is getting wrathful now. What else could explain Palin getting picked as McCain's running mate?

I'm glad I have Huntley to do all my thinking.

Never mind that many of the great minds of the past 2,000 years have debated on the correct interpretation of Holy Scripture, and of Christ's words in the Holy Gospels.

I'm voting for the party that oversaw a balanced budget when it last held the Presidency.
I'm voting for the party that oversaw a decline in the abortion rate that reversed the increase under 17 years of mostly Republican Presidents.

Maybe the Democrats will screw up in the next 4-8 years.

But it's not as if the Republicans have done such a great job of late.

Right; he nails Mary in the New Testament, and two thousand years later, we have wars, famine, killer hurricanes, China poisoning everything they can get their hands on, and the potential presidency of Sarah "God's Plan" Palin.

I mean, one time I went a couple months without, and kicked a puppy out of sheer agression. I can only imagine how he's feeling.

So we can solve the world's problems by having a virgin seduce god?

Probably, but where are you going to find an attractive, easy virgin now-a-days?

If you do happen to find one, I would be very interested in knowing who she is, where she lives, what kind of men she's interested in, her preference of cologne, favorite color, what she likes to do on the weekend, and most importantly, her favorite alcoholic beverage.

Uh... for science, of course.

I will vote for McCain.

- I like school choices and support NCLB. My kids are going to a better performing school thanks to NCLB

- I like lower taxes

- And I hate mainstream press

But I have to admit it appears it is over for McCain in Virginia.

The 95% number is a myth. You either know that and are selling the myth or are too stupid to realize it is a myth. Which is it?

Overall, the bottom 60% of income earners pay less than 1% of federal income taxes on net. When "tax credits" primarily go to this group in the form of checks from the government (rather than a reduction in their tax burden) it is simply an abuse of the language to call the spending a tax cut. It is welfare.

Just because you know how to cut-and-paste stuff from a Karl Rove article doesn't mean you know what you are talking about, lol

formerhick76, my point is I can see McCain's voting record and gain an idea on what he will probably do in office. Obama's failure to vote on the majority of issues leaves me guessing on what he stands for, and we all know about believing what politicians say................ So from my perspective there is no real good choice for president in this election.

I feel exactly the same way. It's sad that a country of 300 million people can't come up with a better candidate than these two.

Obama confuses me. My children don't get how his half brother lives in shack and Obama doesn't help his own relatives. And the creepy guy who sold him the real estate. We used to like Obama because we assumed least likely to get my son killed or maimed in a war. Now his speeches removed that supposition.

Neither Obama or McCain tlk about illegal immigration. I get the impression both want to just supply housing and keep the vicious cycle going...illegals build...developers profit...mre illegals move in and others move into the new housing. Is Coppermine even needed if not for the influx of illegals> NO.
