Voters - NO McCain or Obama Shirts, Button, Hats when you Vote

This is just stupid!

WASHINGTON - When you go to the polls in Va - watch what you wear.

If you live and vote in Virginia, you are not allowed to wear any politically themed clothing, like buttons or T-shirts, to the polls. The rule, according to Valerie Jones of the Virginia State Board of Elections, is that there can be no campaigning within 40 feet of a polling place entrance, including from people going to the polls to vote.

lol what are they going to do, have cops stationed at all the polling places to turn away anyone wearing a pin? This should make for some great TV.

I can see not allowing elections volunteers to pitch a candidate, but voters? What about the people we have had at EVERY election at tables outside the doors of schools, each side handing out sample ballots based on party? Most of those are barely twenty feet from the door. Unless they count the inside gym doors as polling place entrances?

Edit to add: best to wear a coat over a campaign shirt, then take the coat off while you are walking out I guess.

If your within 40 feet of the polling place entrance, and you still haven't decided who you're voting for, you should NOT be allowed to vote.
Although I don't think this is very constitutional, I also don't think there is any need to have your minions any closer than 40 feet or maybe even more. In fact, I don't think there should be polling stations there at all on election day.
Lets just wait until ALL the votes are counted.

She does believe that the end of the world is going to happen in her lifetime, and she also believes that everything happens because that's how God wants it to happen.

Just imagine her first day as President after McCain keels over. "Gee willickers! God put me in charge of a great newcular arsenal? This must be a sign! I've been chosen by god to start armageddon! You Betchya!"

Yeah...I guess these people feel the same way about voting for president as I do deciding on a 3rd WR in fantasy football each week. Chris Chambers or Kevin Walter? Barack Obama or John McCain? It's a toss up.

Go with Chris Chambers for your fantasy team.

As for the presidential candidate, just try to choose the lesser of two evils.

So if Palin loses, does that mean God wanted it to happen, and Palin and other Religious Right activists will go back to focusing on Christ's salvation, as opposed to Congress's majority?

No, it means that this country has turned away from God, and will suffer the same fate as Sodom and Gomorrah.
