No One going to the Creed show on Friday?

I just got an email from LiveNation/Nissan Pavilion, offering two free lawn tickets to the Creed show on Friday, because I am a "loyal customer". The catch is that each "free" ticket will carry a $6.00 parking fee. No matter what, it seems like a pretty desperate move to try to get bodies out there to buy concessions, etc.

I just checked ticket availability for the pavilion seats and tickets were available in the 4th row (Row D) of the front section (behind the "pit"). Sounds like it will be a pretty small gathering.

I think the lead singer has a God complex. Standing front and center of the stage, big spot light on him, holding his arms out as if he was on the cross. Get over yourself, dude. I don't like the music, but the attitude ofthe singer is sofa king off putting.
That's why I like a Tool show; the lead singer is not in the spot light. In many cases, he stands behind the drumer.

After that video of Scott Staph and Fred Durst receiveing falatio by some groupies on a tour bus surfaced, they lost a lot of thier fan base. Which was the christrian rock element that was supporting them.

I never thought of STP as a Pearl Jam ripoff. If you listen to some of Creed's early stuff, it is obvious they are just being derivative of Pearl Jam. Especially Staph aping Eddie Vedder's singing style.

The problem is they're doing it too soon. Everyone still remembers their hate for them and has not had the chance to get nostalgic. It would be like a hair band reuniting in the midst of the grunge craze.

That, and Creed was never very good to begin with. Like people will be standing in line for a Nickelback or Staind reunion in 10 years? No. Because they suck. So did Creed.

I think it was on Eliot in the Morning a few years back, but does anyone remember that interview one of the local stations did with Creed. I think it was done by a program director or sales manager and he was interviewing the band and was praising Mark Tremonti and started dropping the f-bomb. The profanity was so bad that the band members started asking him to stop it.

For Stapp, this is not the first such incident. In April of 2001, while a member of Creed, he was involved in a bar brawl in St. Augustine, Florida. Witnesses told Rolling Stone at the time that Stapp threw a punch at a man who had taunted him.

+1 That's exactly what it was. Bevelaqua was kissing Tremonti's ass the whole time. It gave me douche-chills.

1. Creed sucks.

2. Alterbridge was Creed with another singer who sounded like Stapp but without the God complex.

3. Scott Stapp is a douche who thinks way too much of himself and has no basis to do such a thing. In my opinion, Bono thinks way too much of himself, but at least he's been around a long time and does have a little bit of pull.

4. Creed sucks.

I liked the first creed album, the band was being gagged on all the Jesus shit then and the clearest references you hear to it on that record are all subjective. And it was heavy.

Creed should just rebrand themselves with a new band name called, "Stapp Infection." It's sure to fester and boil over. "Pop" would be a great new genre for them to explore as well.

LOL. If you see one of my earlier posts, you'll notice I don't think too highly of Creed. My wife just came home and asked if I'd want to go see Creed tomorrow night with some free VIP seats. I laughed and said "Fuck no." She's disappointed, but at least I can say I stand on my principles.
