Carjacking in Alexandria
Mount Vernon Police District – Police responded to the 6300 block of South Kings Highway on Tuesday, July 16 shortly before 4:30 a.m. for the report of a carjacking. Officers determined that a 58-year-old man had parked his 1992, four-door Honda Civic bearing Virginia registration XRJ8539 and got out to wait for a passenger. As the man returned to his car, a female approached him, implied that she had a gun and drove off with the victim’s car. There was possibly a black male in the front passenger seat of the Honda which was last seen headed south on South Kings Highway. The victim was not injured.
The suspect was described as black, early 20s, around 5 feet 7 inches tall and approximately 145 pounds. She was wearing a dark, long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans. There was no further description of the man who got into the passenger seat of the Honda.
