So, my wingman came into town for the week and my son took us down to the WWII Memorial today and I was appalled to see people swimming, splashing and dipping their toes in the fountain.

I was even more appalled that when I informed these mopes that I didn't think good men and women...men and women better than any of us...died so that they could come down there and cool off in the fountain, I was rebuked.

They died for most of us,but not you, faggot.

The most offensive part of all this is that there's some guy pretending to be a WWII vet on FFXU. I don't think you can get much lower than that.

The WWII Memorial's architecture is just awful. I have no idea why each state is honored either. The states (in and of themselves) didn't play huge roles in the war effort. WWII was an effort involving the entire nation.

When I went there last summer, there was a fucking shit log on the bottom in the WWII fountain! Some gaddam little kid dropped a load in the fountain while swimming.

The last time I checked, the nation was made up individual and separately governed states. Each sent its men to war and encouraged its private companies to retool its businesses to produce goods for the war effort.
