Survival or fighting skills

Civilisation is crumbling, zombies, pandemics, no oil, no gas, the world as you known it has ended. Cities have become some sort of mad max thunderdrome on meth. Basically, shit went south fast.

SO

You have two options, and these comprise of six months of training in either - survival skills or fighting skills. You cannot do both, obviously there are slight crossovers such as with survival skills you could fashion a spear etc, and with fighting skills you could loot and scavenge.

Together with these options you have the choice of taking the tools of your new trade. its a 25 liter backpack, stuffed with whatever you want, AS LONG as it goes with your skill. so you cant train in survival then take a folding stock mp5 (i know what you guys are like). Which one do you choose? and by only a back pack i mean that, your out the door son, even if your wearing dirty panties.

You actually need more training then you would think. this book is pretty good if you are interested.

keep in mind that staying safe and healthy is one of the most important things. a broken leg or bad cut could probably kill you or limit you to the point you may not survive

how much ammo for the mp5? because otherwise its useless

The OP is a douche. A gun IS a survival tool. I either kick my neighbors' doors in and take what I need or talk to them and form an alliance. On my own I will probably fail. Oh, wait, I already have guns, so I go the survival route. Still would like to have other people. What the fuck is a 25 liter backpack? Am I naked? Do I not have pockets?

If there are people I can fight with and take their survival stuff, I'd take the fighting course. Even if they don't have anything....if there are people....I would have to learn to fight!

Otherwise, I'd go with the survival.

Human nature man....good examples all over this site.

That was my first thought as well.

To answer the question though it all depends on location. If you live in a heavily populated area (youre screwed anyway) you want fighting. If you live in a rural area of the middle of no where which is ideal in such situations you want survival.

You whippersnappers are thinking like sociopaths. Only sociopaths can think of taking advantage of the weak. It wont matter to me though. Stay away from me and you will live longer. My family and I have 50,000 rounds of common caliber ammunition split between us so we can hold our own. You can take what's ours, but it will cost you.

I don't care how bad a dude you may be you won't last a week without drinkable water. To remain clean is to remain healthy. No grid, no municipal water, no health care system. Rampant dirty water diseases. You get sick you die quick.

Big Berkey turkey is yer amigo. When the rambo wannabe next door dies of cholera mosey on over and help yourself to his sniper rig.

That guy quietly prepping in the corner will be the last man standing.

Parting shot to the cunning. Yew'd be surprised how well-stocked some church kitchens are. Or maybe yer not.

both are important, but i think survival skills would trump.

however, neither matters if you're morbidly obese and can't walk down the street without keeling over. that should be priority one for everyone.

If you can't eat clean food or drink clean water, you're going to die. I'd choose survival, if I had to pick one. Of course, a mix of the two is best.

You're gonna die. You won't survive living in this region.
Posting your paranoia on a forum doesn't help...
either.

Mind over Matter.

Several Negroes have given me their guns as a gesture of respect when they found out that I too was a firearms enthusiast. The world is a wonderful place.

The way of the pussy. In the end you will only need one round.
But you need testicles for this one.

Probably not. You brag to much about your guns so you are either scared shitless or over compensating. Anyway you will die very lonely.
Good Luck.
