Teen Stabbed in Herndon Area



Reston Police District – Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 2100 block of Astoria Circle shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday, July 10.

Officers determined that there was a party at this location. A 17-year-old boy had suffered a stab wound following an argument that reportedly took place at the party. The teen was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau, officers from the Reston Patrol bureau, and the Town of Herndon Police Department are continuing to investigate the incident.

It's time we came together to ban all knives in this country, before another senseless killing. Knife owners are all evil and must be held liable for the acts of their fellow criminals. Come on people, let's march on the HQ of the American Cutlery Association and protest them!

Police Arrest Suspect in Stabbing of Herndon Teen

Fairfax County Police announced Friday they have arrested a suspect in connection with the stabbing of a Herndon teen in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Jose Ortiz, 19, of Herndon, was charged with malicious wounding and is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Officers responded to a report of a stabbing in the 2100 block of Astoria Circle shortly after 2 a.m. Wednesday, July 10.

Officers determined that there was a party at the location. A 17-year-old boy had suffered a stab wound following an argument that reportedly took place at the party. The teen was transported to a local hospital.

Fairfax County Police public information officers said late Friday afternoon that the victim remains at the hospital in life-threatening condition.
