Remove the tax on hybrids and electrics and put the tax where it belongs, SUV, Vans, Pickup trucks and other heavy weight vehicles.

Not to mention the more gas that is burned, the more gas trucks have to be on the highways delivering the gas.

Save Virginia highways and ease congestion by buying hybrids and decreasing the number of gas delivery trucks on the roads. Also hybrids help stop pollution in VA by less emissions.

If you want a tax that covers maintenance it should be based on weight on vehicle and miles driver, regardless of the amount of gas used

No, every Democrat didn't try to have it removed. A few did. The rest played it off against other future potential revenue streams in order to get the bill passed and the Medicaid compromise which they wanted. That study didn't say anything except that trucks exert orders of magnitude more damage to roads, and would be the critical element in scheduling road maintenance, as compared to light trucks and sedans. That being said, it isn't true that light trucks don't do more damage to roads than sedans. Its basic fucking physics you douche. Heavier object causes more fatigue than lighter object, and that is scaleable even though at the high end it makes it appear as if that difference is inconsequential

So logic gap

You can either argue that nothing smaller than a light truck causes any damage, at which point you must admit that hybrids do not need to pay for any road maintenance and that all cars should be charged a flat fee

Or you can argue that hybrids cause damage, and therefore light trucks cause exponentially more damage because they weigh 2 to 3 times more.

If A creates damage, then object B that weighs more than A causes Delta^3 minus A's damage greater.

I rarely see 66 before Wash Blvd. At Sycamore 66 is moving at or above speed before 8:30. The few times I have gotten on at Rte. 7, it is moving there, so, you must be one of those fagmobile drivers that drives below speed just to be a jackass.
