Where can I get a good cellphone without a contract

Where can I get a good cellphone service without signing a contract. I am out of contract with AT&T right now. I travel out of town a lot so I need a pretty broad coverage area. I will also need long distance included. Voicemail a must. I don't need texting, internet, or email.

I don't want to sign another 2 year agreement. Cricket doesn't service Northern Va yet. I don't even need a fancy phone. Just one that works.

Please help.

One of my junk cells is a T-mobile pay as you go and it works great. $100 worth of minutes good for a year and then after a year just add $15 and it renews for another year. I think the first year I got 1000 minutes, plenty for a second cell.

I don't think I even gave an address or credit check. Bought it, bought a minutes card, called a number, entered some codes, and then worked it. (I did purchase the most expensive minute plan that lasted a year.)

The minutes are a little expensive, but I barely use that phone and for a second number for a year it's a great value for me.

(To get the best value you have to keep renewing every year for $15, after a couple of years it works out to something like $5.90 a month)

I have a spare T-Mobile prepaid line too. You don't have to give over any info at all... just go to Wal-Mart or Target and pay cash for the phone if worried.

I have a Verizon pre-paid phone...it's .99 a day (if you use it, 0.00 if you don't).

Works for me because just about everybody I know has a Verizon cell, so there's no by-the-minute charges (INcalling, or whatever they call it).
