various family members of mine (including me when a newly-licensed driver sideswiped my *new* car) have used and highly recommend ravensworth auto body

I was going to recommend Vienna Auto Body but I'm not sure if they will work on parked car damage.

Thanks! Interesting that you mentioned it.

The insurance company was going to send me to "Auto Body of Vienna" on
Dominion Road. I assume this is the one you're talking about?

Are they any good? If so, I'll just go with them, since the insurance
company seem to like them. :) I live in the area, but have never heard
of them before.

Many years ago I had one my cars worked on by Auto Body of Vienna and was VERY pleased. It took a little longer then expected but they did a great job on the paint and were very friendly.

They were located next to B&O bike trail in the middle of Vienna.

You said your car is new, so this won't apply- but you can actually get some pretty decent MINOR body work done by the gypsies that approach you in parking lots or you can find some of these guys on Craigslist.

MINOR Body Work are the key words here, if your Bentley needs a frame straightened or have column/pillar damage, go to a shop. But if you have some minor ding in your 2002 Corolla, some of these guys can really save you some serious money. I had a Jeep that was hit and needed the rear trunk door pulled and painted. The accident wasn't my fault so of course I got some pretty high estimates.

Without replacing the trunk lid, the cheapest estimate I could find was about $700, I got some gypsy and his son to do it for $200, materials included.I think the other parties insurance ended up giving me $950

Now there are some shakey body guys out there and I wouldn't trust every one driving my car or running for expensive parts, but if it's a basic pull and fill job, save the money you'd spend in a shop.

Hi!

Thanks for your comments. Do you mind telling me what
make/model was the car that you had repaired at Auto Body
of Vienna?

Seems like a lot of local people like this place. Hopefully,
I plan to go down there later this week to check them out.

You mentioned they're located next to the B&O bike trail...
is that the one with all those really tall high-voltage towers?

Thanks again! :)
