Metro workers at Springfield Station are lazy

Well, last night took the top prize for metro incompetence.

8pm outside station on sidewalk near bike rach.

Count them.

ONE giy powerwashing sidewalk. Safety cones set up around him-ok.

Problem: SIX, yes SIX metro employees standing around him DOING NOTHING.

I confronted the supervisor and asked him why six people were doing nothing. he mumbles something about supervising and when I asked for his name he covered up his ID and then tucked it into his shirt.

Enough of this crap--I wish I had taken pictures.

I was at the King St station and an obvious family group of tourists were having trouble making heads or tails out of where to go. The father asked the kiosk guy details and the lazy bastard got real nasty and told him why dont you try and read the maps on the wall before you bother me. He then leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes offering no help.

I went with the father to the map and showed him how to get where they were going and the amount on each fare. I think it is a power trip with most Metro workers, kind of like a TSA thing, they know you want to go somewhere and you either do what they say or take a cab.

Duh. Its the Metro, of course they were black.

The Metro isn't a transit agency, its a minority work program.

THIS. Metro has been and always will be a jobs program for lazy *******. The system is set up for failure at all levels and will MOST CERTAINLY kill more people before it falls apart completely.

Plug time - check out http://fixwmata.com/ or http://unsuckdcmetro.blogspot.in/ for details about just how much of a racist shitbox Metro is.

A very brave article on entrenched black rule over Metro. It's no joke.

As a kid when this was being built with all of the tech that was going it, I really wanted to work there. I thought it would be a great job. No f'n way I'd want to be there now.

Dude, how would you like it if someone came into your office (assuming you work in an office and not the local drive thru) and ask why you are just munching on a donut, doodling on your notepad or just surfing the net and posting on FFU instead of getting that report done or flipping that burger?

A lot goes on at a construction site and many times workers are waiting on a delivery (concrete, rocks, steel, lumber, etc) and are legitimately taking a break until it arrives. OR...they may have completed their tasks and are waiting for the last guy to finish up before moving on. They can't all run the powwer washer at the same time.

Unless you are directly related to the project as an inspector, architect, engineer or foreman you have no business "confronting the supervisor". So butt out and quit 'yer bitchin'.

I have a right to be angry because I don't give two craps what office workers do for a PRIVATE FIRM.

My taxes and what I pay in fare pays these bozos salaries.

They had one power washer (equipment) so why send out 8 guys knowing only one can operate it?

Don't try to defend this.

HEy "shut up GF"....guess you know for a fact they were all just standing there for their ENTIRE shift, eh? And you know that no other equipment came all day for the other guys to use, be it a power washer or a shovel? Or that they might have left and moved on to another project after Mr. Power Washer was done? Guess you stood out there all day and watched too so you would know for a fact these guys did nothing all day long.

I'm highly skeptical.

Metro is the epitome of the Socialist Great Society Progressive Agenda:

- all pay the same, except those who were victims of past transgressions and pay less
- all sit in the same unairconditioned rail cars on hot days, regardless of rank or stature
- all most remain silent while the thug life ghetto monkey takes up two seats
- all most walk up the escalator because yet again, it's broken
- all move forward at less than the rate of speed of an individual automobile
- all will be taken to and from locations that are not convenient, but close enough

You forgot one, no way do they ever coast to the next stop, its full speed then apply the brakes with enough pressure to throw standing passengers to the floor.
