Re: NBC4's Erika Gonzalez

Not saying this is Erika's trick, but I kind of hope it is because it would be funny. I watched the evening news last night, and she barely did the Mexican accent on her last name, but it was still there. I paid attention because I need a new tablet, and the Asus one with the detachable keyboard looked interesting. I am going to check it out in Best Buy and see if I need to order one online.
So, anyways, fake ethnic and the news. Several years ago I was in another TV market area, about 40 or 50 down the scale from here.
There was an evening anchor with a very Irish last name, Irish white skin, slightly red hair. Very popular, basically the queen of evening news in the market, queen of nice, always helping and hosting children's causes.
The St Patricks day parade was huge in the market, as were Irish bars, Irish Catholic churches. An ancient radio and TV anchor was also in partnership with a travel company, and one of their big pushes was a tour of Ireland with the news queen and him.
Anyway, I am about as Irish as Obama, but I knew some of the AOH officers (they ran the parade), and the queen's station was 100% into the parade. Televised it, the queen was the host, and they would send the hottest young news and weather girls to ride in convertibles and throw candy.
So I get invited to the VIP after party (just because I know these guys) and they are all three sheets drunk on Guinness and Bush shots. I am mostly sober because I just had a few watching. The queen is there, and is a stone cold bitch. Hates everyone, making faces behind their backs. It wasn't like they were trying to grab her tits, they wanted to worship her as the Irish queen. There were important people there, too, county board, state house reps, business owners. I was stunned what a rude bitch she was.
I was doing contract work for another station, and happened to tell the manager there what I saw. He told me a few things about her, she was famous to insiders. Her maiden name was Irish, but that was all. Her skin was makeup and her hair was dyed. The light brogue she sported at times was all acting. She and her husband hated having to go to Ireland, and loved Paris and the Caribbean. They also hated all the kids, and didn't even like their own very much. Everything was an act. She also was a complete bitch to all the younger women at her station.
