Gold is a commodity. Go to any commodity broker. Do you actually want gold in your hand or the paper equivalent?

Since you know very little about what you are doing, may I suggest buying gold coins that are legal tender in Liberia? They are 99.99% real gold and they only charge three times what the gold is actually worth.

Why buy it? Go to Scotts Run or Difficult Run and pan out gold for free.

Any coin shop should sell at least American Eagles and Kruegerrands.

You know a bull market is done when idiots like this start to jump into it.

A good rule of thumb for markets...when uninformed individuals start to invest widely in a market, that is the time when speculators get out, leaving individual investors holding the bag.

While inflation is a problem, I'm not sure people are going to continue flocking to gold as their hedge. More sophisticated investors use foreign currency, like Euros, as an inflation hedge.

Anyway, good luck investing in something you apparently know very little about.

Gold is soooo 2007. Investment-grade diamonds is where the future is, son.

I just heard a commercial with Pat Boone (who?) being the spokesman touting some gold company.

Yeah, it's over.

Haha, Pat Boone.

I guess this lends credibility to that god-awful album he made back in the 90s... "Pat Boone: In a Metal Mood."

for years Pat Boone and most of the Boone smiling clan were spokespeople for Acne Statin plugged to teenagers with pimples. The stuff, as I remember, was taken off the market because it did nothing. LOL

Gaithersburg Gold & Coin is the place to go around here. Buy just eagle (gold or silver). You pay a bit of a premium but they're guaranteed by the Gov't... meaning it'll be an ounce whether it gets scraped or not.. other gold/silver bullion will need to be weighed each time. I picked up gold/silver several years ago and have done quite well. Good luck!
