Heard there was storm damage at the old CES site today. fire companies were dispatched there then a call went out for a building inspector.

Drove up there and saw 5 or 6 county maintenance trucks, looks like part of the cafeteria roof either collapsed or was blown off. Maybe the flat roof drains were blocked and too much water collected up there.

Yes drove up there and believe fixing roof and other minor issues like asbestos, and parking school can reopen in the Fall. Only wish E. Schultz could win a vote.

School is not reopening in fall of '13. Too much work to be done and no approval/funding as of yet. There has been talk of a potential reopen for fall of '14 because of a spike in the # of children in 20124 and 22039 and overcrowding at some of the local schools. At this point it is still a long shot as the county is looking at other alternatives to remedy the situation.

The school will never open. It will keep falling apart until its turned into a park.

Union Mill ES had to add an addition due to over crowding. The construction is not completed and 200 more kids are being added to the school this year. The school is now going to have over 975 kids.

I would love to see how many kids are allowed in Union Mill and what the fire marshal has to say. The school just had to add a second Vice Prinicpal too. If I was a Union Mill parent I would be mad.

I bet by 2014 Clifton will reopen.

The school was kept open for the baseball teams to use the bathrooms. The school looked in good shape. It did not look rundown or falling apart.

Shame we have a school that could open to help with over crowding in this part of FCPS.

I believe it will reopen either as a refugee center for Central American children or an Ebola cremation center. Right Barry?!
