Worst Subway in Fairfax County?

Stemming from the thread about the worst Walmart in Fairfax County, I was curious to know what people think of the local Subway chains.

I was at the one where 50 & 29 meet and I had a very skimpy sub. 8 slices of turkey on a footlong and only 4 half slices of american cheese. That's only 2 real slices of cheese because each 'slice' is just half a slice. The service was slow and the place was dirty.

So, anyone else have an experience similar to this at this location or anywhere else in Fairfax County?

Most every Subway is owned by Pakis or Indians. People not known for cleanliness or honesty.

I'm just saying, charging me $6.00 for 8 slices of turkey, 2 slices of cheese, some bread, and some vegetables is outrageous when it costs them like $1 to make.

Great Falls Village - slowest Subway ever. Only ever two people working there. Takes 10 minutes to get a sandwich when there is one person in front of you. Plus it always filled with house painters with a list of 6 sandwiches they want to order.

I was at a Subway in Alexandria. The lady was cutting the bread into thirds so they were actually giving out 4" subs instead of 6". Guess she thought no one was looking during a slow point in the day.

Way too stingy with the meats.

80% bread, 15% veg, cheese and toppings, 5% meat.

Fortunately their bread usually is pretty good I think.

The subway is coming to Fairfax County? Will it be the Silver Line or the Orange Line? We need a subway to replace the unreliable Connector buses...plus they stink...smell like cheap plastic and wet puppies.

The Kings Park Subway is not only the worst Subway in Fairfax County, it is also the worst Subway on planet Earth. The food sucks and the employees are sub-human.

Be sure to always ask for extra veggies/toppings, those do not cost you any extra no matter how much you put. My subs cannot fit in the bag properly because I load them up so well, just keep saying EXTRA, MORE, MORE until you are satisfied. For $5 you can get a decent amount of food you just need to nag the hell out of the savage employees.

Interesting thread. I've long noticed that Subways operated/staffed by Asians are clean and efficient. Others (name your color) are sketchy with slow, inefficient (lazy) service.

Bullshit. The Subway at Fox Mill shopping center is run by Koreans. The one time I went in there some of the veggies were half rotten. The lettuce was BROWN. My son really wanted a sub but I said fuck no we're leaving.

Hands down, Fox Mill is the worst in the area. The new one by Home Depot and Costco is a close second.

Another vote for Sheetz. THe sandwiches are $2 for 6", $4 for a footlong. The Sheetz on Rt. 50 in South Riding piles on the stuff and they are good.

Also, sign up for their awards card and the 10th one is always free - no price limit on the freebie so get all the extra meat and cheese you want!

Stick to ones that are busy as hell and have lots of employees. This means they turn over the veggies and bread faster so you generally get a more fresh sandwich.

the BEST subway in the area has to be the one on Rt 1 near National Airport. They're speedy, friendly, and efficient. No matter how many people may be ahead of you, the line moves fast. And the food is great. Fresh. Thanks, Subway!!
