Summon for driving on out of state license

I was pulled over by a trooper on 66 last week for expired tags but sicne i had the sticker he didnt write me a ticket. but instead wrote me up a summon to show up in the court for driving in VA after being in the state over 30 days. he listed the violation code as 46.2-308.

Now my visa to US expires in november. so I am not sure if I can even get a drivers license for two months. If I dont get a VA license and goto the court what should I expect? am I going to be fined? how much? what else the judge might do in this case? i am totally clueless.

its not a prepayable offence. i will have to goto the court and see the judge. its a summon.
