No Democracy Here in Fairfax

If you live here in Fairfax County you will have absolutely no say in anything that I can think of. If you want something in the park system there's no suggestion box or expectation to suggest anything. Instead paid park workers decide everything.

In Reston 3700 citizens signed a petition to put incorporation on the ballot but Cathy Hudgins and Delegate Plum chose to ignore it. The Times in endorsing Cathy Hudgins admitted that she dosen't listen to her constituents. This fact was ignored by citizens who returned Hudgens and Plum to office.

You can go to speak at a Board of Supervisors on almost any subject for three minutes but then they do what ever they want.

There was wide spread unhappiness with the South Lakes redistricting but the school board continued redistricting which may of made sense.

Developers promise to do all sorts of things but they are not enforced and just forgotten to the detriment of the citizens.

Is there a case anywhere where citizens have wanted something and gotten it over the existing boards or institutions in Fairfax County?

I think it's interesting that nobody gave me an example of anything Democratic here in Fairfax. That they wanted to include something or change something and they did in a Democratic mannor.
