Does anyone know the deal with guy who plays the tuba on Braddock rd?

It's a radio station stunt. If you are the first person to see him and ask him "Hey whats up with the tuba?", they give you $947 on the spot. 94.7 FM, duh...

Should have asked him yourself.

Google "Tuba Guy". There are numerous articles and even a facebook page (that he maintains) that will give you more information.

He must have been on a leave of absence. I hadn't seen him for a while until the other day. Glad he's back.

I like it when crazy people let you know up front that they're loons. Saves some nasty surprises.

olp - Not sure what part of the county you live in, but where I live we have had a very cold winter. He probably didn't want to have his lips stuck to the tuba.

99999 - Sousaphoneman doesn't sound quite as cool.

He's actually been doing that for years! He's known fondly as "Tuba Guy" and it's not actually a Tuba... google him sometime. He's a nice guy... I was friends with him on fb before I got rid of mine. He puts various signs and propellors on his instrument sometimes.

At one point he said he was doing it to prepare for a 5k or something like that. Good to see he's been sighted again!!
