Metro Police get failing grades

Once again, the Metro Police Dept has failed to enforce the simplest of their rules. No construction parking in the commuter lot at Dunn Loring - where there is an ongoing development project underway.

We found that they were quite timid when we used cameras to show how they write tickets to the wrong guys - the actual Metro riders.

The construction project is a benefit to our community. It brings jobs, tax revenue and increased ridership for metro. The project cannot be completed without construction workers. There is no other place for them to park. The Metro police are understanding of this situation and are providing common sense law enforcement kudos to them! People who park outside the lines must be ticketed and/or towed. The construction vehicles will be gone in six months.

Looks to me like something is getting done. Maybe the contractor can provide totally free parking to their workers, instead of having them take riders spots.
