Fairfax!
We are new in town... and want your feedback. We love serving the city, and recently made our coffee beans available for purchase. But our next 'endeavor' takes that a step further - and we'd like your input.
For iced coffees and some decafs, we slow brew. That process takes about 12 hours, and produces a concentrate of very finely brewed coffee. We bottle it upon completion of brewing and refridgerate. And while we've gotten very positive feedback on our coffee beans, we've yet to provide a growler opportunity for customers who wish to buy the 'premium' concentrate. This process keeps coffee fresh for up to 2 weeks when stored properly, removes acidity, and tastes great. Truly.. we've got feedback from customers who have been briefed on the process and their remarks are very flattering.
Our only hesitancy would be the cost our family would have to lay out to get the growlers made. We NEVER sell coffee brewed from a bean that roasted more than 2 weeks ago and take pride that our standards are greater than anyone else we've encountered. We done the research and believe we can deliver that same freshness to Fairfax through this process, but want to make sure that this isn't too far off what our customers want. Coffee drinkers out there - what are your thoughts? Would you prefer to have fresh coffee you could heat up over grinding beans/brewing? Or iced coffee at home that wouldn't melt your ice (for watered down iced coffee)?
