It's all about economics, especially given the Redskins issues with the NFL and the salary cap. If Hall was a first tier Pro Bowl guy, he would still be here (the team would thus cut somewhere else). A mere starter on the down side of his career can't sustain this money. His behavior and attitude are not all that relevant.

The NFL when it comes to players and economics is not baseball or basketball, where no-cut contracts are, well, really no-cut contracts. It is ironic and unfortunate because football players take on considerably more risk to their health than baseball or basketball players.

I like Hall and don't have any idea why you think he is a scumbag.

We will miss his ability, confidence, tenacity, and his cover skills under pressure. Also his interceptions!

Im not sure I would call MEangelo a scum bag, other than the fact that he was friends with the Dawg Killa and was probably at a few dogfights before Vick went to the pen.

But he is an over rated and waaaaaaay over paid corner who would have a hard time covering a 90 year old man in a wheelchair.

he might've been overpaid but he was the best cb on the team. another position to fill now.

which is like saying someone is the smartest guy in special ed. The skins corners were terrible. Of course he had interceptions because he was thrown at alot, he played way off the receivers, too much cushion. But in some ways I cannot blame him because of the NFL refs being esp hard on cornerbacks if you touch a receiver at all.
