How old do you have to be

to attend NOVA? I passed my GED. I am 16 years old. Does anyone know If I can sign up for Nova for the Summer semester? And bitch ass teacher give me an F in Algebra 1 and PE 9 last year.

How the fuck do you fail PE?? You can't pass fucking High School PE and want to go to NOVA??? If you haven't heard, college is much harder than HS...

Young lad, it is extremely admirable that you wish to advance your education as expediently as possible, but college is not purely about filling your cranium with knowledge; it is also about maturity. Something clearly lacking based on your short message. Why did the teacher fail you? Was it because of your lack of knowledge or capability? I'd probably say, no. It was likely for something else.

I started NOVA at 16 with zero issue. As long as you have your GED you can start. Go in to the guidance office for a walk-in appointment and get an advisor to recommend which classes to start with and take the English/Math placement tests in the testing center.

Our institution was founded so Vietnam-era draft dodgers could get their student deferments without having to attend classes, and with no minimum grade standards.

We never have, nor will we ever turn down a dollar bill.

The OP can't handle the pressure and responsibility of high school, so he got his "good enough diploma" and is going to NOVA where the teachers are even more "bitch ass."


All of those "rate my teacher" websites have many complaints but I can't tell if they're legitimate or butthurt immature dingleberries like the OP.

Good lord. If you want to take classes, at 16 years old, you may. You need to visit the campus and take the English Placement test. You must place into ENG111 if you are under 18 if you want to take credit courses. No GED necessary.
