Does anyone have or know of a small poker game? I've barely played since I moved here.

Check http://www.catchingcards.com. There's a few people discussing DC home games on the site.

www.homepokergames.com doesn't let you know what games are old and which are new. Thanks for Catching Cards.

Yeah, saw the same. No stakes at sponsored events, gambling is illegal in VA.

I know there are some betting games at GMU though.

anyone still looking for games? I'm kinda new to these boards and just found this post. I'm not a player but I drink with 2 different crowds that have regular games, anwhere from a 20$ buy-in to 150$ buy in. they usually play tournaments, bulk to winner, consolation to 2nd. the games are not open invite but if anyone is interested I can tell you what bars we'll be at and when, drink with these guys a few times and once they know your face you can get an invite easy.

Who doesn't play poker?

Poker is everywhere. Get a few friends and just play for the hell of it.

since this 4 year old question was revived:

Red Rock's tequilla bar in Centreville holds poker events from time to time. Not sure of when, but I had dinner there a few weeks back and walked into the middle of it.

I can't remember the name of the bar in Herndon, but they have poker tournaments, or at least did about 2 or 3 years ago. I think they were texas hold-em tournaments, since that was what all the mainstreamers were into since it was big on TV at the time.
