The FU “Think You Have-It Bad” Challenge

Here we go folks... this week’s FU challenge builds on the tremendous participation of last week’s Fairfax County Sex Abuser contest in-which contestant Margie was awarded top-prize, however, under a cloud of suspicion (when the judging committee placed an * in the record book next to Margie’s entry indicating the total number of records was juiced)

This week’s challenge is a remake on the always popular “Worst-Places-To-Live” (apartment complexes) in the county.

Here’s the rules… using the www.apartmentratings.com database find the apartment complex within the Fairfax County limits that has the LOWEST PERCENTAGE (%) rate recommend by the reviewers. Minimum five (5) reviews required per entry (no 0.0% Recommended allowed; entries must be greater than zero) (Cites of Fairfax & Falls Church, Towns of Clifton, Herndon & Vienna, Mclean & Reston areas are in-play)

Search site: http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/VA.html

Example: Vienna
5 Apartments have received 229 ratings and reviews by renters in Vienna, VA
Lowest: Vienna Park Apartments 19% Recommended

- Limit of 3 entries per participant (no alias please)
- Post-mark all entries prior to midnight Tuesday, July 22nd
- Formal Protest must be filed with the judging committee for a (most-of-the-time) unbiased ruling.

Okay, there-you-have-it. NOW, go out there and find the sleaziest, nastiest, dump of a place to live-in of the county... who knows who is living right-next-door???

As always the winner gets... Well, nothing. Although, the post shall be interesting

Idylwood Village West in Tysons has a 13% rating. I knew someone who lived there, it was the pits. A total ripoff.

I refuse to go through the work and provide an answer until the OP's definition of "within the Fairfax County limits" is clearly defined.

Definition: within the boundaries of Fairfax County

The JC is thinking this map relevant to the subject matter:

ITRADE - yes, too bad on the local of The Towers at Morningside; @ 8% reviewer recommendation you might have been the surprise long-shot for this week...

That said, the show producers want to further this week's challenge by... wait-for-it... adding the Bonus Lightening Round....

For 100 additional bonus points, the FU audience is challenged to post "THE WORST REVIEW" of a Fairfax County apartment complex as posted on www.apartmentratings.com (limited to just 3 sentences please)

Example:

Oak Knoll Apartments:
Disgusting
From: -Anonymous-
Date posted: 11/16/2007
Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007

“This place is a disaster. From cockroaches, rats, mold, rust, roof leaks, water leaks, unhelpful office staff and maintenance staff, things always breaking down, the disgusting grounds, very bad parking area, loud neighbors, stinky hallways with bird droppings on them, I would never recommend this place to anyone”.

Limit of one reviewer post per contestant please. At the end-of-the-challenge, the FU audience will decide (vote) on the winner of the Bonus Lightening Round…

You've got to remember, as crappy as some of these apt. complexes are, people as a general rule won't go online to give a place a good rating. I'm sure some of these spots are pretty miserable, but if you do the calculations on the number of units divided by the number of gripes ( counting of course that many residents are old or stupid and don't use computers), the places may not be as bad as you'd think..

Here-you-go FU boys & girls... drum-roll please... this week’s challenge winner is “SRE” with the entry of:

The Knolls at Newgate - Centreville (10 reviews) 10%

JC favorite review for The Knolls at Newgate: Major roach problem. I think they must breed them. Most of the people who live there are cockroaches also. Management treats you like you don’t have a choice. The cockroaches took over the place and I still find dead roaches in my old appliances. Had to throw out almost all my furniture and infested belongings. I would wake up to bug bites on my arms and legs almost daily. DONT EVEN DRIVE YOUR CAR HERE...the cockroaches might eat you. IM NOT KIDDING!!!!!

Congratulations SRE... you do know your home-town “Worst-Places-To-Live”

And, you all thought you have it bad
