The area formerly known Fairfax County will be occupied by two or three large hunter-gathering tribes with a total population of about 25,000. The rudiments of agriculture will be practiced to support the activities of these tribes in certain areas.
All of the tribes will have legends about once being part of a vast nation called "Mer-Ika" which existed here before a series of cataclysms such as "The Great Fire" and "The Drowning" destroyed it.
The future is the past, and the wheel turns forever.

The Devil is successful through his ability to make you believe that neither do heaven or hell exist. If you don't believe in God, just spend a couple of weeks thinking about a relationship with the devil and your relationship with him will escalate. Take Gordon Blvd with you. Go ahead dumbass!
I would say global warming will certainly be a factor. Will it all be under water I don't know, but I think some will be and the area will have problems with frequent flooding. But people can change that by not driving gas guzzlers, eating less meat, and being more eco friendly.
As fuel becomes scarce or not existent I think we will also see people moving closer into the center of cities just like they used too. Although this will probably occur much sooner than 1000 years from now. This would probably mean that the more urban areas will see growth and more suburban areas will become ghost towns.
