I wonder if this is the same woman?

OK it's the same lady.. she's going down hard with a prior like that...

I was able to mostly answer my own question. The complaintant on her larceny charge is JC Penny's. Why you would even steal from there is anyone's guess.

let's see here... she has a mullett, is a 38 yr old grandmother (used to be, at least), and steals from department stores. when did fairfax county start importing trailer trash? i thought we were transitioning to illegal immigrants.

She was not "imported". She has lived here for years.

Does anyone know what the process is? I would have thought something would have been reported today on the status (ex. guilty or innocent plea, bail set, etc.). She has not even shown up on any of the Fairfax County websites. Just wondering.

Thanks for your help.

good call momto4, it happened long enough ago where it should be available info

maybe it's a domestic and juvenile court case (domestic because she killed her granddaughter)? those may not get disclosed to the public in the same "sound the trumpets" way the ticket search gets it done with all of our common misdeeds.

BTW that lady is 40 going on 70. I can't believe she's only a decade older than me. 38 and a gramma, that's fucking wierd.

No. She is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in the General District Court.

Anyone care to call the magistrate in Fairfax and find out if she was released on bail?

To bad no one told your parents that little tidbit of info.

I know that you do not really believe that and you are just trying to incite negativity. That one little snap is all I will respond to any of your nasty comments.

A five day old baby needs to be remembered and that "Grandmother" needs to be punished. I know you are not cold hearted and feel the same way. Your smartass comments are forgiven.

Take it easy.

she's not out of jail. as the article ( http://www.timescommunity.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=15960492&BRD=2553&PAG=461&dept_id=507243&rfi=8 ) says:
"Thomas is being held without bond in the Fairfax County Jail awaiting trial at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 7 in Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court."

Momto4,

Do you have some sort of personal involvement in this case?

Don't get me wrong, it is very tragic and whoever did the shaking needs to be punished- beyond the death of a baby and public humiliation.

But you are almost obsessively following the case- and even called the jail!

Am I missing something?

Yes, I have personal involvement.
I posted originally to see if I could get info about the system from anyone here. Seemed to me when I read other topics, people followed the police goings on quite closely and maybe could help me out. I can see by the immaturity of the posters here that for the most part, there are just a bunch of kids here wanting to know where to get drugs and trying to be more obnoxious then the next punk to post. My mistake for thinking Fairfax Underground might have all different types of Fairfax residents represented. I guess I was the ignorant one for not thinking about the name "Fairfax Underground." After all, the slimiest of things hang out underground. This apparently is no exception.
17 years ago, this evil woman put my 3 month old in the hospital with major head injuries. I have personal involvement. I want her put away for as long as posable.
I will be gone from this site. As I said, I thought there might be someone here who could maybe give me info, and I needed to vent. Sorry to interrupt your "important" discussion of where to get your next fix and why the police are pulling over that guy to give him a ticket.
Take care.

Well perhaps Momto4 would have gotten more help if she had been up front about her interest in the first place. If someone put my kid in the hospital (not that I actually have kids) I'd want them severely punished. I can understand that.

I feel sorry for Mom of4. Having some monster abuse a child in her care must be awful. I can certainly understand why Mom of4 was interested in this case. I only hope that years before, this irresponsible caretaker ( grandmother) was reported to authorities for her actions.

On the other hand, I think this Fairfax Underground is a very informative web site. Much of the information is reliable and helpful. Sure you may have to weed through some of the posts but overall, the writers are helpful and entertaining. And I certainly do not consider myself a slimy denizen of the underground looking for my next fix. Also we are not all kids. I am in my fifties!!!

Here's a little diddy about Grannys some of you might recall.....

Yea..
Ah yea...
Agh yea this one's dedicated to all
the ladies in the front , the back
All the older ladies out there
lookin' nice, you know who you are
whoo...

I need you, boomin' granny
I said I want you, boomin' granny
Boomin' granny, boomin' granny
Boomin' granny, good and plenty

Well it might sound odd, it might sound corny
But here's some sex rhymes for those that are horny
For your boomin' granny with the boomin' system
Said I love ya won't leave ya so you got to listen
See I'm talkin' about the way that I'm feeling
You're so lovely lengthy and so appealing
A sassy sophisticated sexy lady
Well I'm 26 and you're 80
The clock is ticking so you better not front
We can go downtown and we could smoke some blunt
Well you're a Golden Girl, just like Bea Arthur
Just turn down the lights so we can go farther

Boomin' granny, boomin' granny
Boomin' granny, good and plenty

Because I saw ya at the check out line
You dropped your coupons and you were looking fine
Sophisticated, and so mature
I couldn't really care if you're 50 or 74
Because I want ya, and I need ya
Hey boomin' granny you could be my teacher
And I could be your pet, bet
Listen old lady I'm gonna make ya sweat!
I know I'm younger, and your much older
You look so nice on my Chevy Nova
I'm gonna take her to the low rider show, and flaunt ya
I gotta tell ya lady I said I want ya, boomin' granny

Because I need you boomin' granny
Boomin' granny, boomin' fanny
Boomin' granny, good and plenty

No article. Just the arrest listing. States she got a ticket for "passing on the right" at the end of October. Kinda hard to do if your in jail I would think.

Okay, guys, let's drop the black humor. A tragedy has occurred and a child appears to have been murdered--let's wait for the court's ruling. If this woman has a history of child abuse, I hope that others will advise the district attorney. One may surmise that this woman (pictured) has had a hard life and was likely abused herself, not that is any explanation for killing a child.

Are you kidding me? Bob, it seems like you are asking us to show some sympathy or even empathize with this woman....

"An autopsy was performed and, according to Turner, it revealed multiple abrasions and contusions on Crissmis's face, head, neck and torso, plus optic-nerve hemorrhages characteristic of shaken babies.
There was bleeding around the baby's liver, small intestine, diaphragm and pancreas, and one-fourth of the total amount of blood in her body was found in her abdominal cavity. Cause of death was "trauma to the head and torso, caused by multiple blows."

She and her daughter should receive the same kind of beating the 5 day old child received - then they should be locked up for life!

I don't think they can go after the daughter. Don't they have to put the deal in writing? And if the grandmother keeps up her end by pleading guilty, they have to keep their's by leaving the daughter alone. Wouldn't it void the deal if they went after the daughter? Even though they'd have an (basically) open and shut case with the daughter putting what she did in writing. I would have a least hoped for aggravated child abuse or something.

Either way, they are both very sick and I hope that that girl never has another kid. Sad thing is, she's still young and probably will. They should both sit and rot in a jail cell. Damn.

Murder does not have a statute of limitations does it? If it does not, maybe they will send the grandmother to jail and when she finally dies, they will go after the daughter as the agreement will be void, won't it?

In any event, I agree that they both need to be punished to the full extent of the law!

They can't charge the daughter with murder. By both the mother's and grandmother's testimony, the baby was alive when placed in the crib.
That poor little 5 day old. Abused by both of her primary caregivers in the first night home from the hospital. I do hope they find a way to charge the mother. That baby never had a chance.

She didn't kill the baby. She may have contributed to her death, but as I said in my next sentence, both grandmother and mother said the baby was not dead when the mother put her back in her crib. Grandmother then says she got up to feed the baby later and that is when grandmother shook the baby.
I agree with someone above who said something about charging the mother with aggravated child abuse or something.

OK

(2) people stab a man.
When they leave, the man is alive
When his wife comes home, she finds him dead

Is the LAST PERSON who stabbed him the only one charged?

What you say makes sense. I just figure that getting her for murder would be harder. I think that if I were on the jury, I would not be able to find her guilty because her direct action did not lead to the death. I would hope they'd go for something else because they have a better chance.

Doesn't matter anyway because they have a deal with the grandmother.
