Loudoun Guns is Gouging

Went into Loudoun Guns today to see what they had left. I was appalled by the prices on AR-15s. All other guns were priced the same as usual, but their usual stock of ARs: DPMS, LMT, RRA, were marked up to $2500-$3000. I wonder if the manufacturer would care that they've marked their inventory up that far above MSRP.

A month ago, these same guns were $800-$1200.

It's called supply and demand, If you're that obsessed to buy a m14, you should have already owned a few. I have a few ak's and m14's. I don't agree with the price mark up, but it's the way it works. Are they fucking people on ammo also?

I understand that's how it works, but I see most of it from private party sales. I already have several ARs, just wanted to see what was going on over there. Didn't bother asking about ammo.

$3K for a DPMS is just plain stupid. These are $750 rifles. You can still order them off the Interwebz for that (but now it's the FFL's that'll jack you). Insanity.

It will only get worse. The gun show this weekend will probably have the highest prices ever. The dealers are going to be licking their chops. Obama talking about banning the weapons and Fairfax being one of the richest counties in the country. You dont want to pay their price move along the next guy will.

"You better run to local gun store and buy everything in sight right now!"

Gun stores pull this crap all the time. They create a panic that a certain of gun or ammo is going to be banned and they jack the prices up.

Gun owners fall this shit all the time. Look at the panic around the Obama election in 2008.

It sure as Hell isn't the gun shops who are creating the demand. It's Obama and his gang of Commies.

The gun stores are no more responsible for the panic than the company that makes toilet paper and people will fight over it before a snow storm. As with all things American the panic is self induced.

I never thought we would get another round of panic like this. We have turned 125k into 346k so far. The funny thing is that a year from now there will be plenty of guns and ammo available at reasonable prices.

The problem from the dealer's side is we can't just pick up the phone Monday and replace what we sold. I don't mind making <10% on something if I have more back at the shop or at one of my distributors. There are no Hi-cap mags, ARs AKs or Ruger Minis for us to order.

It will cost you.
The price of freedom.
Or supply and demand. That's what the pusherman once told me.
