Obama's Care

Walmart, the nation’s largest private employer, plans to begin denying health insurance to newly hired employees who work fewer than 30 hours a week, according to a copy of the company’s policy obtained by The Huffington Post.

Under the policy, slated to take effect in January, Walmart also reserves the right to eliminate health care coverage for certain workers if their average workweek dips below 30 hours -- something that happens with regularity and at the direction of company managers.

Walmart declined to disclose how many of its roughly 1.4 million U.S. workers are vulnerable to losing medical insurance under its new policy. In an emailed statement, company spokesman David Tovar said Walmart had “made a business decision” not to respond to questions from The Huffington Post and accused the publication of unfair coverage.

Labor and health care experts portrayed Walmart’s decision to exclude workers from its medical plans as an attempt to limit costs while taking advantage of the national health care reform known as Obamacare.

But does Obama really care? If so, why would he allow them to do that to us?

If he does step in and do something, he's accused of being a socialist interfering with a private company's business. If he does nothing then he doesn't care about "the workers". Also of note, Walmart is pretty infamous for screwing over their employees.

HOA MGR, since when do you care about "the workers"? Isn't that a strictly socialist thing to be concerned about the proletariat? What about the CEO's? The might not be able to pay the mortgage on their third summer home.

HOA MGR doesn't, just trolling in a vain effort to alleviate some bad chafing:

1. President Obama was reelected.
2. Lance Armstrong was correctly proven to be international cycling's master doper, dope pusher and dope smuggler, and has been permanently removed from cycling history.
3. Osama bin Laden was found, shot, killed and fed to the sharks during President Obama's first administration.

Petulant and un-American, just ignore him.

Everyone thinks Walmart is great because everything costs less there - it doesnt, not really. You see Walmart intentionally pays very low wages and keeps its employee hours down low enough (always below 30 hours) so that its employees can qualify for all kinds of government aid (that is code your my money and your money).

Thats right you pay taxes indirectly to Walmart. They count on your tax dollars helping their vastly underpaid staff make up the difference between their wage and a living wage. So next time you walk in to pick up your $2 gallon of milk remember you and everyone around you is paying taxes to the store.
